Frydays in Croydon

A bit of an average experience to be honest. We booked a table for 2.30 and turned up on time but waited 5 -10 minutes to be seated, with no greeting from anyone, despite 2 people saying "they'll be with us in a min" a lady who looked like a manager cleaned a table for us and sat us down, not overally friendly with no smile. Our waiter was friendly enough but the wait time was ridiculous.... we ordered from the kids menu for my 3 year old son and for us. Our starters arrived but my sons food didn't until like 25 mins later which is ridiculous. Eventually our mains and my sons food all arrived together and it was fine to be fair. We then asked our waiter for a dessert menu to get some ice cream for my son, 10 mins later the menu still hadn't arrived and the waiter was serving another table. We gave up and asked for the bill. I get they were busy and understaffed and I don't personally blame the waiter but there was no sense of urgency in anything, and the wait time made it a frustrating visit.

After looking forward to eating at what is considered to be a premium American diner type restaurant we were quickly disappointed.In summary....we were efficiently and politely seated. Then the young lady serving us proceeded to complain about her employers while explain why why she didn't have time to make the tea I was thinking of ordering. So we were made to feel uncomfortable. Then my food arrived and was whisked away from me with mumbled explanation! Apparently the fries were wrong.....I had a long wait for my food to come back as my friend waited so both our food was getting cold.Further interaction with waitress was stroppy.Another member of staff was concerned enough to check if we were happy so was an opportunity to complain. He agreed it was acceptable and we had to be given a discount which was welcomed. Especially as the quality of the food is overpriced for what you get. The restaurant is riding on its reputation.

More keto friendly options would have been nice to see but otherwise great food, have had great drinks here too

Going downhill and I don’t expect too much but since my most recent visit I definitely would’ve been more comfortable in any McDonald’s. The menu was filthy and sticky, table not clean. Glassware was dirty and full of water marks, items on the menu unavailable not informed prior to just bought amended items. Staff are minimal and pleasant enough but with a few cocktails the food is beyond basic.

Poor customer service. Asked for water while ordering and it got delivered after 20 minutes. Food isn't that great either. The bun used in the burger we have ordered didn't taste fresh

We pre booked a table for 2 adults and 2 kids. There was plenty of parking spaces. When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by the manager and show to our seats. We placed our orders and waited for our food. There was no problems with ordering as all items on the menu was a available. The food arrived after 25 mins and all food arrived together. The food was very good and clearly all the ingredients were freshly prepared. Everything tastesd great and we could not fault the food.The manager who greeted us also took our order. He did mention his name but we forgot. On our receipt it showed Demi so if this was the name of our server then he showed us some very genuine hospitality. Playing with our kids and joking with us was a nice touch and a breath of fresh air.The only negative comment would be that the aircon was a bit cool for our liking but I'm sure it would have warmed up as the evening became busier with more guests.Overall we had a good experience and would highly recommend as a place for a family meal.

Love the food in here, the kids and hubby love it too. Their sesame chicken in Jack daniels sauce is the best Iv not had it anywhere as good as this before. If you love american food this is the perfect place to go for food. Their cocktail menu is large with huge variety. Staff are always pleasant and helpful whenever we go there.

Not good a place to go, I have been in many TGI’f but the one in Croydon was particularly disappointing, the lady at the reception was rude she clearly didn’t want to be there. our table was not very clean especially at this time with Covid, my wife and children waited 50min to get our food and at the end my ribs and fries came cold and dry, I will definitely not be returning. It’s a shame because, I remember a few years ago that place was excellent and I am pretty sure many people who has been to that place will feel the same.

TGI Friday's on the Purley way Croydon has plenty of parking. The restaurant serves American styles food i.e burgers, hot dogs, milkshake etc. The restaurant is music themed, the food is good and reasonably priced. The restaurant also has a large selection of cocktails to enjoy. I recommend try out the restaurant.

Went here for a birthday dinner and wasn't expecting a good time due to the current circumstances, but we was pleasantly surprised. We were seen promptly, and was greeted by staff who were positive and making us laugh constantly. The food came quite speedily, and was cooked to great standards, especially the ribs and the burger. The service and delivery was spot on. Will definitely recommend. Special shout-out to Shannen who was an amazing waiter.
