Last minute booking early on a Friday evening. Such a friendly place, brilliant staff. Brilliantly lethal cocktails, simple but perfectly cooked food and good value to boot. Properly atmospheric as well. Will keep going back whenever we’re in south London.

Staff were amazing. Friendly, competent, professional, helpful with plenty of smiles and laughter! Restaurant was buzzing. Great ambiance. Food was well prepared and served. My rabbit terrine was delicious although would have been improved by a more piquant accompaniment just to lift it and cut through. Very nice Gavi di Gavi and Ribero del Duero. I also had wonderful company! Best evening out I've had in a long time. And I'll be going back! Thanks Joanna's for an excellent night!

Due to the pandemic we haven't been here for a while and our recent visit made us remember why we love this restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food!! Simply beautiful. I had the grilled mackerel with nduja butter, my wife had the sweetcorn croquet. For our main the stonebass seafood dish for me and the lobster ravioli for my wife. The only criticism would be that the portions were too small. We could have eaten twice the amount. The lobster bisque whilst nice was a bit watery. If you sort those two things then it's 5 out of 5.

Although the food was very nice, I feel the prices are some what expensive for what you get.One person ordered the crab ravioli as a starter £12 and two people the same but as a main- £24We received one piece of pasta on the plate and two pieces as the main- a little tight in my opinion. That aside it tasted very nice! Then as a dessert, two Irish coffee’s ordered and disappointed. one was prefect and the other served, looked like a mixed coffee….this should not be served . Then another was brought out after complaining that looked the same. Granted, we were not charged however when The manager, in my opinion was shocked that I’d complained and suggested I like my coffee sweet, slightly irritated me- surely an Irish coffee is an Irish coffee. My stepfather used to frequently dine in Joanna’s when it first opened, John was the owner, my stepfather was also a local business owner therefore it was little disappointing to say the least by a restaurant that used to be the institution of Crystal Palace.

Fantastic resurant really worth the visit. The half chicken was to die for absolutely incredible! The treacle tart was one of the best I've had in a long time really worth the visit! The staff there are fantastic and really helpful. I feel they should add more choice of beer to there menu other than that everything seemed to be clean and well looked after.

Have been coming here since I was a young child, probably how I became a big foodie. Always a lovely welcome and the most delicious food.

Absolutely beautiful food in a very classic setting with excellent service. Came for Sunday lunch with my partner and everything we ordered was perfect. I thought the prices were very reasonable for such high quality food and we will certainly be visiting again.

So good to be able to eat in a proper restaurant again! And Joanna's didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived and the food and wine selection was excellent. Highly recommend the seafood dishes and the albariño.
