Mahala restaurant and lounge in Croydon

I have been eating here several times and never been disappointed. I know that their traditional Romanian dishes are of very good quality and tasty (home made, really!). The place is also very clean and the service prompt, admittedly not a busy time.I could tell that these people are trustworthy and they strive to please their clientele. They have even changed the music which was a bit out of fashion and too loud (folklore). I could not recommend them more!

I was impressed about the quality of the dishes and the atmosphere. I saw reviews about the music being too loud or but there was nothing like that when we got there. We had tripe soup, turkey soup, chicken with polenta, pizza, and papanași and I can say all of them were amazing. Would definitely go again.

Absolutely amazing service and food, very welcoming and attentive staff. Awesome ambience and decor. The best restaurant I have been to in a long time. 10/10 would recommend to anyone whether you have had romanian food before or not. Outstanding 💎

Food was delicious, great customer service, music was a bit too loud but some people may like it . Not cheap or expensive, right on the middle I suppose.

It's fancy, it's tasty and in weekends you need a reservation. We had the daily soup 😊 the chicken with white sauce and mushrooms and polenta and some kidneys with smashed potatoes 👌, one espresso, one cup of green tea and ome sparkle water. +the salad that was 37 pounds, a dinner for 2 without dessert.The dishes are big, i haven't finished mine, but they are delicious , and the Romanian taste it's there, they kept the original recipes 💯❤️

Great atmosphere and meal again for our group. Vegetarians and meat eaters all very happy with food choices.Lamb chips,calamari , bruschetta ,salads and meat platter all bountiful helpings and reasonable. Not rushed through meal at all and space between tables. Wine nice at a good price. Definitely will return

Yes this venue is very large indeed , and the garden is quite spectacular , very large and has stunning flower arrangements . The staff were welcoming and friendly. The toilets are very clean and modern. It's very cosy and , I must say decorated to an lmpecable standard very lavish and comfortable. Good for friends and family. Full marks

One of the best Romanian restaurants in London. Decent, traditional food with fairly good service. The music a touch to loud maybe.

Gorgeous food, we absolutely loved it. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Would thoroughly recommend. We had the pork schnitzel, Aberdeen Angus steak and papanasi for desert. All excellent.
