Royal Tandoori in Croydon

Absolutely brilliant , cant fault it.Lovely restaurant nice and spacious , little busy so good atmosphere , nice clean fresh.Service was impeccable from the moment you enter they cant do enough for you but they dont keep interrupting you meal at the same time they leave you to it until you need something. Staff are really friendly.Food is unbelievable everything was cooked to perfection taste was incredible no grease no problems it was faultless had 4 starters 2 mains 3 sides and couldnt find fault with a single dish.Easily this is the best indian restaurant i have ever been to and it will now become our go to place even lo it is a 30 min drive its more than worth it.

I've been ordering from (and occasionally dining in) for years.Had a bit of a dip in quality a few years ago, but back to being very good again now.Friendly staff and good selection of menu choices.Would recommend.

If you are reading this and debating whether to order - stop and definitely order - this is the best Tandoori restaurant that I have ever ordered from - the food is amazing, consistently amazing. Great portions, excellent flavour, excellent customer service a real 10/10. Special mention to the great idea of having chicken tikka variants of popular curries 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The Chicken tikka dansaak is seriously good 👍🏻

I'm a regular here but service has gone down big time. Had to wait 1hr for main. The soft drinks are exceptionally expensive and small. The overall cost is very high compared to other places but the food was very good ...the lamb Biryani was terrible. Meat was dry and bad quality.

The food is delicious but the service is so slow. We visited as a group (pre booked) in January 2020 and they took over an hour to bring out starters. We had to ask several times.We've just ordered takeaway tonight and the food took an hour and a half to come, arrived lukewarm and the portion sizes are tiny compared to what they'd serve in the restaurant. King prawn Puris arrived with barely any curry and 3 prawns each...like they had got one normal portion and split it into two. Very disappointed considering we spent over £70.

Lovely food and great service.Welcoming staff, great selection of food for fragrant or spicy tastes.I went here with friends on the Wednesday banquet night and was pleasantly surprised.Highly recommended.

We have ordered a take away through "just eat". Estimated delivery time was 30-45min. As soon as it was confirmed it showed over 2 hours. Called the restaurant, but no answer. Used the option to collect it ourselves. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed, seated and explained the situation. Waiters kept us up to date at all times. They also gave us a treat for the wait. I must say you really have an amazing customer service and know how to put things right. Curries were great too! Will definitely visit again.

Had an awful experience with their takeaway service this evening. The food arrived 50 minutes late, over 2.5 hours after we placed the order. The naan breads were rock solid because they were so burnt. The curries were very oily and looked like they had been mixed with others. To top it off we have called them over 30 times to try and get through and understand what was happening, no one answered.

4*s if not for authentic food but for the quality of the food.Happened to park next to the restaurant while driving around Selsdon and a big hoarding in front of the restaurant attracted us to step inside.Manager in the reception didn't care much to welcome us and even after asking for table for 2 it took few minutes before we were asked to be seated though restaurant had lot of free tables.We went with 5 course set menu on a weekday and it's certainly value for money. Papadums were really nice with mint chutney. Chicken and lambs tikkas were just ok but lamb balti was very tasty. Bendi baajee and cauliflower baajee were really good while prawn bhuna was big let down. Butter naan was good.It took at least 40 minutes or so before the main dish was served after serving papadums and that was after I asked them it was ready. Otherwise service is just ok.All in all, this restaurant can certainly be tried while you're around this area.
