Tai Tung Chinese Restaurant in Croydon

Not many dimsum choices particularly around Croydon area unless you're in London Chinatown of course. It's mediocre nothing that brings the wow factor but it is quite popular with the locals for a afternoon lunch get together with their fams. Drawbacks would be them making us feel like they need the table cleared asap (as spend an hour tops there no more) and some food are highly disguised in vinegar (the seafood) to perhaps mask the overdue quality...very risky and not safe.

In Wing Yip Centre, Purley Way. On two levels.Hand sanistised as you go in. Temperature scanner as well. Great food with good portion sizes to share. A must try is the house special mixed meat yee mein noodle soup casserole, their seasonal vegetable either in oyster or garlic sauce. Affordable. Very quick service as well, would recommend.

I went to this restaurant for 2 times during lunch hours at the weekend. Food wise, it is getting worse. My Mom also said food not great at all. Really don’t know what the chefs was doing. Prefer to go others Cantonese restaurant

This was actually the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been too. Excellent food with a fabulous Asian supermarket next door.The only negative side was... that out of the 6 waitresses and waiters that served us, only one was polite and happy to please.Now this maybe excused as a cultural devide but in my books...manners are manners no matter from where you are from.We will happily be going back however.

Pro: plenty parking spaces, I wonder why?Cons. Probably the worst food ever: bland, dry meat, salty, or uncooked noodles. The staff is rude; they hardly speak any English, and the restaurant is filthy.The conclusion wasted £80 .Avoid by any means!

A very great quality Chinese styled restaurant. Great dish, and some Hong Kong styled service from those waiter🤣However, its a great experience and a choice for the family that come from HK!

What is this?It was on our stone crab 🦀 dish and the gentleman said this is from Blackbean source where we ordered garlic and ginger. And he changed to this is from the grab inside.We stopped eating them immediately and we did not said much. It is because we've went to this restaurant for many years and had same dish for more than 20 times and it was just said that they could just say sorry and will make a new one. Really disappointed.

It is better to go during the week as we arrived at 12:00pm Monday, straight in and got plenty of empty tables as well as they have got 2nd floor. As long as you order the dim sums and other main dishes, they all come less than 15 mins, very quick. It is a typical Chinese serving, food comes quickly, so you eat & go ;then the next customer, and so on! All the food we ordered were delicious, friendly staffs and very helpful😀. Weekend would be very crowd and may need to queue outside the restaurant! So it is better to arrive a little bit earlier to wait outside the restaurant before they open ! If u never try Chinese dim sums, you may try something different, always recommend this place and also the Chinese supermarket just opposite the chinese restaurant, how convenient to get the Southeast Asia food ingredients to cook at home!

I would eat here everyday if I could. Proper authentic food, unlike most of the restaurants in Worcester Park! Even their special fried rice is a flavour bomb. I recommend the dim sum - everything - and crispy pork belly, beef ho fan. Just everything YUM

We went at 7:00pm weekday. The staff were friendly, salt & pepper calamari was nice, sweet & sour pork was okay and the tofu was a bit oily. Overall we enjoyed the food and environment, not too crowded. Would go again.
