Taya Oriental in Croydon

We ordered food, as always came wrong! Called the guy who took the order, he said we ordered Singapore noodles but we never did. We always order Singapore rice. Then he said he will send the rice again..As we was starving, we called after 20 mutinies and said we won’t order again as they do the mistake all the time!! He wasn’t sorry at all for his mistake..He said, he doesn’t want us to order..That’s there customer service!! By the way it’s came wrong again, as we had requested not to put leek in to the rice😂😂

Hands down the worst Chinese I have ever had. Shredded beef was just deep fried pockets of air smothered in a horrible sauce. Peng sauce was tasteless. and now the following morning i’m on the toilet.

Food was below expected taste, just because they stir fried it does not mean it is Chinese.

I started to love their lunch boxed they do 12-4 on Just eat and I order since few weeks to have it at work. Really love the cashew chicken with egg rice! Seems fresh to me and I enjoy it even when reheated so can’t tell a bad word. They have own driver who is always smiling and polite. He thought I order 2-3 portions as I have kinds but I don’t it’s just so nice to take it to work and have lovely lunch haha

Great sushi as always. Arrived quickly and tasted delicious. The fish was fresh and delicate. katsu curry was on point. Would recommend

Sent stone cold food and squid instead of tofu. Just made excuses... Clearly didn't care that they had made such a mistake and said no the food was not cold and argued about only sending us tofu instead of replacing the meal. Said that I must scrape the food back into the containers which I did but the driver refused to take it so I was left with a mess. Half of the new food hot... Half cold. Wrong sauce and extremely spicy hard flavourless tofu. No they will not give a refund. Nice

So tonight coming through purley I was undertaken by a delivery driver from taya sushi not once but twice to the point I had to slam on my brakes to avoid an accident due to his incompetence.Unfortunately he didn’t do a very good job of hiding we’re he worked. So I decided to pop in and have a word with management if you can even call it that. We’re I was greeted with a bunch of expletives and numerous other people then spat on! Lovely management skills you posses TAYA sushi. Police weren’t interested in doing anything and too slow so cctv footage was tampered with. Well there’s more than one way to skin a cat.So here are the culprits. And I’d strongly recommend that the people of purley and Coulsdon take there business elsewhere as if you have a problem this is how you will be treated. Appalling and disgusting behaviour from a local business.

Ordered sushi takeway several times and it just doesn’t hit the spot for me which is odd because I love sushi. It doesn’t taste fresh to me.

This was my first time ordering from Taya Oriental but definitely not the last. The food is tasty and they give a fair portion. Mind you, I'm vegetarian so cannot say a word about the fish/meat dishes but plus point for the so many veggie alternatives.

I often order takeaway from Taya, both the Oriental and Sushi are of really good quality and authentic from an Asian perspective!! Hope the community can support good take aways like Taya, especially during these quarantine times.
