Both service and quality of food has gone downhill. On a Tuesday early evening, staff seemed demotivated.Burgers were dry.Chicken wing appetizer was garnished with dried unwashed whole spring onion instead of celery.Drinks were satisfactory

Visited several TGIs and all seem to share same American delightful ambience and a broad amount of exciting meals to select from the menu.Young, brilliant, dedicated and enthusiastic staff. Parking spaces and toilets available. There are kids and family section. Everything was almost spot on except my Caesars salad, which wasn't so good and had to return it but still paid £8.50.Some staff were not professional as they could be seen talking out loud, dancing and having so much fun. I get they're young but whatever it was/is they need to remember it's a professional environment and need to be treated as such.Hence why it didn't get my 5 🌟 review. Hopefully my next visit in the coming months things might improve. Probably need to take notes from the O2 branch visited several weeks ago. The waitress and waiter where spot on and got almost £30 tips from our group.See you again!!!

I have to say one of the worst experiences in a restaurant.Waitress served us at the front for a pre-booked table, couldn't even be bothered to show us to the table just pointed that it was the 3rd booth down.We sat down, no menus. Had to flag someone walking past for a menu whom I assume was the manager, as told the waitress to get us menus......not a good startTable wasn't very clean at all.About 10 minutes after being there a different waitress asked us which drinks we wanted. No introduction, no friendly welcome just what do you want.Drinks ordered5 minutes passes, drinks arrive, minus the alcoholic drink, told it's being made at the bar, 5 minutes later arrives.Waitress re-appeared to take our order, weirdly she didn't write it down, great skill but annoying for customers who want assurance it's written down.Food was ordered and advised my son had a milk allergy, informed the manager would need to take the order.Manager came quite quickly (the same one we flagged for menus). This was a fine interaction. Order was placedWe ordered my son an orange juice which arrived in a dirty glass with black bits floating in it, I went back to the bar to ask for a new one and the female behind the to be with her family or something not really sure. A new glass was given with the carton poured in front of me.Back to the table to discover the glass was cracked and again dirty. So ended up wiping it.I had ordered a starter. After having sat there for 50 minutes and having drunk 2 glasses of bottomless drinks and having to flag down waiters to get a refill, the food came. Bear in mind I have a 4 year old 50 minutes is not fun.Food came and was well prepared. No complaints about the food whatsoever from meThe burger was delicious, chips are very tasty and 3 others had the sameChicken fingers were pretty bland and not value for money my wife saidMy son enjoyed his fish fingers, chips and beans. After eating, the serving waitress didn't show back up so we were now served by a male waiter.Desserts ordered and no complaints around the food.My son loves the vegan ice cream and oreosBill came and paid. Waiter stood over us with the card machine after handing it to us which was quite awkward. Give people spaceThe issue with this place is not the food, it's the customer service and the pricing. You cannot charge the money you do with such a poorly run restaurantTGI FRIDAYS was always quite a premium brand and when I have been previous times about 5 years ago it was decent but again not as good as it used to beIt seems they are hiring waitresses who do not want to work there, lack any customer service and no interest. If I ran the place I would sack all my serving staff and start from scratch.Look at the recent reviews, they all say the same thing, clearly it's way down the hill already and appears to be surviving based on previous rep.I'm not really sorry to say that I wouldn't come here again. If you are after an experience or nice meal then look elsewhere.Waiting 50 minutes for food is a joke. No apology, no interest.TGI NO WAY

Well, it was a memorable visit but not for the right reasons. It wasn't particularly busy, but the service was very poor. Slow to take our order, didn't clear away plates and glasses between courses and had minimal understanding of the menu. Also, there were no draught beers available nor any ice cream sundaes. With a somewhat limited range of choices, we actually skipped dessert and got a tub of Ben and Jerry's on the journey home! All told, it took 2 hours to serve 2 courses and we only got asked if we wanted more drinks once (So much for bottomless soft drinks for the kids!)The real shame is that the food itself was actually good, but not so good that I'd be back in a hurry.

After looking forward to eating at what is considered to be a premium American diner type restaurant we were quickly disappointed. In summary....we were efficiently and politely seated. Then the young lady serving us proceeded to complain about her employers while explain why why she didn't have time to make the tea I was thinking of ordering. So we were made to feel uncomfortable. Then my food arrived and was whisked away from me with mumbled explanation! Apparently the fries were wrong.....I had a long wait for my food to come back as my friend waited so both our food was getting cold.Further interaction with waitress was stroppy.Another member of staff was concerned enough to check if we were happy so was an opportunity to complain. He agreed it was acceptable and we had to be given a discount which was welcomed. Especially as the quality of the food is overpriced for what you get. The restaurant is riding on its reputation.

More keto friendly options would have been nice to see but otherwise great food, have had great drinks here too

Love the food in here, the kids and hubby love it too. Their sesame chicken in Jack daniels sauce is the best Iv not had it anywhere as good as this before. If you love american food this is the perfect place to go for food. Their cocktail menu is large with huge variety. Staff are always pleasant and helpful whenever we go there.

Not good a place to go, I have been in many TGI’f but the one in Croydon was particularly disappointing, the lady at the reception was rude she clearly didn’t want to be there. our table was not very clean especially at this time with Covid, my wife and children waited 50min to get our food and at the end my ribs and fries came cold and dry, I will definitely not be returning. It’s a shame because, I remember a few years ago that place was excellent and I am pretty sure many people who has been to that place will feel the same.

TGI Friday's on the Purley way Croydon has plenty of parking. The restaurant serves American styles food i.e burgers, hot dogs, milkshake etc. The restaurant is music themed, the food is good and reasonably priced. The restaurant also has a large selection of cocktails to enjoy. I recommend try out the restaurant.

Went here for a birthday dinner and wasn't expecting a good time due to the current circumstances, but we was pleasantly surprised. We were seen promptly, and was greeted by staff who were positive and making us laugh constantly. The food came quite speedily, and was cooked to great standards, especially the ribs and the burger. The service and delivery was spot on. Will definitely recommend. Special shout-out to Shannen who was an amazing waiter.
