The Beulah Spa Harvester in Croydon

I arrived at the establishment in a joyous mood in which my mood was immediately dampened as a dead badger was scooped up in the car park and added to make a "chicken salad". After this unfortunate event I walked up to the barman and asked for a cold Guinness, the barmen (possibly mentally challenged) decided to start licking the table and sucking the table clean of all split salt and sauce. After this I immediately wished to speak to the manager in which he decided to start ignoring all complaints and went to watch paw patrol. Overall this was definitely an experience I won't be forgetting soon and I intend to return soon.

Service was absolutely horrible waited 40 minutes to be served and then another 30 minutes to receive our starters that was cold and hard. When our food came food was missing, it was very bland, with no flavour or too salty. The salad that came with the meal was brown dry. Also the toilets were absolutely disgusting. Staff were rude and made themselves too busy and kept ignoring our table. All and all the food was edible.

We come this week for dinner and really enjoyed our meal.The only tiny issue was they didn’t have what my young son wanted on the menu so he had to go with another choice. (Not as easy as you think with a fussy eater! Haha)Our waitress was very nice and super helpful. We shall be returning soon!

Edit:Where have all the Lovely Waitresses gone?(Maybe we got unlucky and all of them were ofd on that day)My family and I are regulars at this place and have great relationship with the waitresses who we feel always deserve the cash tips that we give them.We visited this place in the New Year thanks to the 50% coupon that we were sent on the App (Make sure you get it!)The food:The ribs are always a highlight but I must say they were quite disappointing as they were overly sweet and the ribs were too small.The Pile of Bones is a waste of an extra 5 pounds as it is just full rack of ribs + 3 wings and a tiny bit if salad and small corn on the cob.Other than that the food was as usual!The Service:Shoutout to the young lady who helped us at the salad, never seen someone so kind and full of positive energy!Apart from her the rest of the service was mediocre, the waiters came across as even rude sometimes.Verdict: Had to drop it from a 4 to a 3Harvester, do better.

When here to have Sunday lunch food was a good portion and was cooked well. Service was not the best I have experienced. No real attention to detail. Food just given no interaction checking to make sure everything was ok. Chef and waiting staff in badly in need of uniform as chefs looked like they have been wearing them for years all grey and Stained. Very of putting. Waiting staff look stuffy.Restaurant in need of spring clean as very dirty. Menu that was given was dirty. When staff finishing shift there where walking through the restaurant. Our waitress when out for a cigarette and came back smell not pleasant. As a non smoker I did find this pleasant. Don’t think I will be going back any time soon.

Went to eat today at Beulah spa with my family. We had a lovely meal and our waitress was called Paige. She was very helpful, polite and always smiling. Made our experience all the better

Had booked way in advanced for a party of 10 including kids. Turned up and found it was closed due to an outbreak of covid. Would have been nice to have been phoned to be told that they had to cancel our booking instead of us having to stand in the cold to arrange a new venue. Very unprofessional. A simple phone call would have helped and save a lot of hassle. The kids were very disappointed as they had been looking forward to eating here all day. Not impressed Harvester.

Husband and son enjoyed it but found my burger bun dry and flaky and my burger was sliced into a couple of times..maybe to check if it was cooked through??. Daughter said ribs didn't taste like they used to. Server was wonderful though and kept everything flowing.Salad bar was so restricted with just pasta..tomatoes, coleslaw and corn..nothing else.

We came for an afternoon meal. Lunch menu is good value for two or three courses. Staff were friendly and served up the salad / bread bar with what we asked for. Very friendly service from Maggie for our starter and mains. Great service too from Jayde who took our dessert orders.
