The Fox in Croydon

Compulsory 10% service charge for a pint as they forced me to be served via table service in an empty venue.Actual price of the pint of beer was good. Decor was nice as well as clean. Music however too loud

One of the very few nice places in the area you can almost forget you’re in Croydon whilst visiting Mr Fox. We come especially for the vegan Sunday roast as it’s just divine. The place is also pet friendly which is amazing because we love animals and always end up bringing Mr Chips with us. Thank you Mr Fox! Highly recommending!

Love it here. Been a couple of times and the cocktails are amazing! Food is pretty good too - mind you, I’ve only tried the Sunday roast so far and apart from the fact they’d run out of cauliflower cheese and the chicken was a little pale for my preference, it was all actually very very tasty & I will definitely be going back for more. Staff great, decor/vibe, also great. There’s nothing to not like.

Had an excellent evening at the Mr Fox pub 👍 cocktails and food was delicious and the service was exceptional 🙌 I would definitely recommend the duck it was exceptional 😋

Phenomenal food. Potentially the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. All of the food was exceptional. All of the staff were attentive, polite, friendly and provided an amazing experience. Couldn’t have been happier with our night and experience at Mr Fox. Thank you so much!

Feel mean giving this review, but really don’t understand how the ratings are so high. The service is fab, the setting is lovely, but the food is bad. Edible yes, tasty and fresh? Afraid not. We went for a Sunday roast, the Yorkshire’s were like crisps, and the roast potatoes were like rocks- looking at other diners plates, it was obvious we weren’t the only ones who felt this way. Maybe it’s because we don’t live in Croydon so have no comparison to other local restaurants, but we can say with certain- we would never ever go back.

Visited last night after wanting to try this place for ages and we were not disappointed. Lovey venue with very friendly staff, amazing cocktails and the food was outstanding too. Would highly recommend the seared duck breast.

Service and food were impeccable.Eva and Rachael took care of us and honestly even if you tried you couldn’t fault them!Eva’s recommendations were so good especially for the cocktails, tried something I never thought I would like and I actually loved it! Loved the atmosphere in this pace 👌 plus it's dog friendly!!! The food and drinks are stylish (a yummy), without being pretensions 😉 Great staff especially the host who was kind enough to find us a table (After being late for our booking), recommend a great cocktail and give an over all great service!The only hitch was our table...which wobbled to the point of worry for the water pitcher falling. But overall an awesome place and would highly recommend. This is one of the most trendy and welcoming bars/restaurant in Croydon. You won't regret visiting for sure!!!

Visited a couple of times since restrictions were lifted. Very professional service with staff attending tables to take orders regularly.Definitely London pricing, cocktails will set you back £9.50+ a pop but they are delicious and pack a punch.And the food!!!...I had the hake, partner had the bone marrow burger - I have not had food that good since the Michelin starred Albert's Table closed down. Outstanding!You do need to book in advance and you only get 2 hrs per booking per day. Not all tables have heaters but vast majority do and 90% of tables are covered. On our 2nd visit the heater above our table wasn't working which was a shame because we would have stayed longer if it had been.A must visit for cocktail lovers and foodies alike.
