This review is for the original Kiraku, not the new name and new menu, awful new restaurant. Really wish it kept its old food and original service amd staff. so very very sad. Very very sad. Best Japanese menu outside Japan. Now very much the opposite, so sad.

·

Very polite staff and fine dish. Definitely will go again.

·

Absolutely delicious. Probably the best nigiri I ever had.

We were expecting to enjoy and have a nice Japanese dinner. However, it was a let down as they didn’t serve full menu. Only sushi, sashimi and nigiri sets were available to order. I will give credit to the sashimi as the fish was really fresh. But decided not to go back again.

Overall: Worst and TerribleAs a food critique, this was one of the WORST service I have ever experienced at Kiraku in London (West London). I am personally a big fan of Japanese food but today's experience changed my high expectation for Japanese restaurants.0. Sushi-rice was brown. How? I am not entirely sure how the rice is prepared. I only can guess they are vinegar & soy-sauce. Presentation was ok-ish.1. Endless waiting even though we were told to leave by certain time.- We were told that the table is booked for certain time so we rushed to finish our food. We knew we need to order something simple so that they can cook relatively quick and we can dash off. However, we waited ages for something like 'tuna-roll'.. Taste wise, nothing special..2. Fried Chicken (karaage) - Nothing special.. Probably soaked in salty water for a while and fried with cornflower. Less than standard.3. My 1-year-old baby was told not to drink from the water-bottle we brought in. A poor little baby ended up sipping this tap water from a plastic glass served.4. No children friendly menu included. Not even plain rice could be served there (We go to oriental restaurants and they DO serve plain rice).5. Tap water served in a half-pint glass.6. Money spent: £51 for 1 x Fried Chicken, 1 x Fried Tofu, 1 x Sushi-set, 1 x Tuna-roll, 1 x Edamame beans and 1 x Prawn Tempura. If you like to enjoy your dinner, read those reviews first.I hope this review is constructive and potentially can improve the quality of the current service provided at Kiraku. Remember, sometimes these reviews can help improve the current environment.Good luck.

Phenomenal. One of the best authentic Japanese restaurants in all of London. It doesn’t have the schmaltz or fussy decor, but the quality of the ingredients and the preparation make it the most delicious Japanese dishes. It could easily be Michelin star for the food, and I could easily see myself moving to the Ealing common area so I can simply eat there everyday. It’s a casual place with great service and amazing food.

Not as good as it used to be. Small portions. Kaki fry and kara age both dry. Chirashi don small for the price and rice over seasoned, though quality of the fish was decent. Drinks good value especially shochu.

Good and decent japaneae restaurant. Staff were Japanese and were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Food came in good time and portions were good sized.Sashimi tasted fresh, and we enjoyed our meal. Well priced food and recommend booking on weekends as they can get busy. We walked in and luckily only needed to wait 15mins.
