Paul's Plaice in Ealing

We ordered a large piece of Cod with medium chips. It was big enough to feed both my wife and I and it tasted good. My 2 year old son had quite a bit aswell. The menu doesn't have fancier things like calamari or crab but they do have burgers and sausages.I asked for the chips to be crispy but they said they can't do that.

First impression: "Go to lunch time takeaway. Love their portions, always freshly prepared. Efficient and very cheap."Final impression: "Well what can I say. Appaulling service by the owner, rude does not do him justice. Called in for a pick up for 1pm, no eye contact, no questions asked what am I there for?! So I'm standing and waiting, and then I said I'm here to collect my order. Reply: They all are here to collect their lunch exactly at the same time as me!!! Asks after a short while, what I ordered? You should know, as you seen no need to ask those questions on my arrival!!! Well: after this successful encounter I have decided not to come back to this shop again! And will pass on my experience to my friends and colleagues." Bye.

Was staying in the area amd fancied a bit of junk food.Ordered chicken doner kebab when asked about salad I mentioned that I'm allergic to onion the lovely man said he can't guarantee cross contamination, but i was ok with it. He in the end wore gloves to cut and touch garnish for my kebab.The food was very yummy not greasy at all.Absolutely recommended.

Quality cooked cod, very tasty, excellent chips, also cooked to perfection, reasonable prices, highly recommend, great service, not much more I can say, give theses chaps a go.

I found this place months ago and I think is one of the best kebabs I have eaten in London. But the last experience was really disappointing. When I entered the staff was fighting in front of the customers and once I ordered with the man that stay at the fryer he start to screaming to me because I made a order without some ingredients. Once I finished to ordering the men yelled at me to wait outside the door. That has make me so upset and never ever happened that I go in a place to order and PAY my food and the staff treat me like that. That is very rude and unacceptable. When I said that to the man and that I wanted to cancel my order NO ONE stopped me for apology. That is the worst experience ever and and that is really sad because the kebab is amazing there. You lose 2 customers .

This is a small clean place close to a highway, with just three tables. But it hides a great treasure, maybe the best Fish and Chips in all London. Huge plates with crispy fried cod and perfect fried chips at a very good price. Amazing attention from the personnel. You can buy to take away.

I've been eating from here for over 30 years, the level of consistency is unbelievably good. The best tasting fish & chips in London for me & great kebabs too, everything is cooked to order & cooked to perfection....the owner really takes pride in the food he serves....a great example for other takeaways!!!
