Really decent Cornish ale and a lovely roast beef dinner. Pub has been refurbished and is very smart. Highly recommended local……

Wonderful place for a delicious Sunday roast. First, the waitress was super nice and gave us a few tips about all discounts available that day. I ordered the roast beef. The meat was excellent and tender, the vegetables cooked to perfection. Very tasty. The portion were quite generous. For the dessert, we all had the chocolate brownie and ice cream. Top experience. The pub is also clean, just perfect.

Lovely decor and friendly staff but my steak was awful, I should have sent it back like the person on the next table did. Also my beer was cloudy and the waiter replaced it with an equally cloudy beer. Shame really, such a nice place.

Beautiful pub with great food and friendly efficient staff , nothing was to much trouble . Exceptionally clean , even the toilet ( men's room ) was spotless at the end of the evening .

A great pub, with a fun atmosphere and friendly staff. The vegetarian roasts are delicious (and a rare offering that isn't a nut roast!) - I would highly recommend visiting, although booking in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment for Sunday lunch.

I booked a table for 10 people for my 40th birthday family meal 6 months ago. I called the week before to ensure the booking was there and The New Inn called me on the day to check about dietary requirements. However, when we arrived, we were directed to two tables that were not laid or set up. We ended up having to put the tables together and lay them ourselves. When we ordered our food, a lot of the menu was not available and we had very limited choice. Following this only 2/3 of the meals arrived and 3 people were sat for 30 minutes without their food (and the sides going cold). When I asked the staff what was going on, they just said that the manager wasn't in and they couldn't help; it was a problem in the kitchen. Our food was significantly delayed, cold and the quality could have been better. We tried to order pudding and they said the kitchen was shut. If we had our mains at the time they were meant to arrive, we would have been able to order pudding. It would have been helpful if they had maybe mentioned this beforehand so we could have ordered in advance. Needless to say, very disappointed that this was my family meal for my birthday celebration. Very little thought, care or service from the New Inn.

We came here for the Sunday roast and was the best experience ever!!! The meat was super (I had beef) and so was the rest. The pub itself is really nice, clean and a great atmosphere. All the staff is friendly and helpful.

Had a fantastic time at the New Inn, I only popped in for a pint but ended up staying for lunch. I had a couple of pints of Camden Hells which were lovely and cold and the steak pie with mash, brocoli and gravy it was EPIC! I will be back.
