Love the place. Cosey and the people working there are kind. Lovely environment. Nice meals and drinks

It's a nice pub but I didn't like the food. Steak was chewy, small and not tasty. apple/ pear crumble was fine.

·

Lovely staff and a nice cosy atmosphere. Much preferable to the larger corporate 'pubs'. Had a bad spell with a bad GM who is thankfully no longer managing it and they now have an amazing young man in charge who was before but had to go elsewhere or something. Now that's he's back it's the cracking establishment we locals all know and love. Strongly suggest popping in for a drink or something to eat.

Decent as usual. Not too crowded and well behaved patrons.Staff are friendly and efficient, not too chatty but welcoming and accommodating too.The pub is in good state, clean restrooms and has available WiFi (log in required)

Staff are really on the ball, the food is great and it's got a really nice local atmosphere. We've watched a few of the England games here and its been lovely, like I say, the manager and staff are superb.

Only been here once, despite being a frequent visitor to "the lane". We had excellent Sunday lunches, chosen from a good range and the one child's meal was good for a 5yr old

This is a Young's Pub so it serves Young's beer plus a guest real ale. I have not tried the food but the food looked good. It's a small pub that looks as if it was once a shop. It as indoor and outdoor seating in a nice residential area. It doesn't have a garden. You can download the Young's app but it as had very bad reviews and when l tried to download on two occasions l waited more than a hour and it still didn't download so l gave up. Staff helpful and welcoming.

The food has been improved so much, props to the new chef! The fish finger sandwich for lunch is a must have, and the burger is probably the best pub burger I've ever had. My one gripe is the *hot and spicy chicken wings* are really very tame and not much flavour/seasoning at all, let alone spice. Otherwise it's probably the best restaurant in the area now (although zero vegetarian mains!)

Great local pub, we went for an early dinner at 6 o'clock. We were warmly welcomed at the door by our waiter and showed to our table where we didnt have to lift a finger all night. Great selection of beer and wine and the food was fantastic, i had the beef wellington and my partner had the ribs, I would highly reccomend either. Definitely be having dinner there again soon.Thank you very much.

This is a Young's pub and has its standard menu and wine list.We came here to check it out, as we were considering it for our first ever Christmas dinner not cooked at home and all Young's pubs have an interesting menu at vastly differing prices!!The pub is clean and well set out, but is suffering from a lack of atmosphere, but we are in a global pandemic, so ......Our server couldn't seem to leave his mask over his mouth to speak to us or anyone else, so expert an outbreak centred on this individual sooner rather than later. Other staff didn't have this issue. The food unfortunately, Sunday lunch for 2 of us and bangers n mash and fish and chips for the other, was lackluster. For the Sunday roasts, we both had a cooked to within an inch of its life piece of inedible stuffing, combined with hard roast potatoes. The rest of the veg was good, but the meat varied from okay to bland. The other meals had the same feedback, the bangers n mash being largely tasteless with dry over cooked mash and the fish and chips being ok.Net result, is we wouldn't rush back, the 40 minute walk for us was pleasant even in the rain, but the end result was disappointing and I would much rather spend the day in the kitchen cooking Christmas dinner than be disappointed by the Village Inn.
