Unlike many Chinese outlets, this one is kind of treating like a western outlet.Service is casual and there is no effort to explain any dishes, rather if you give the name, you are asked to provide Menu Number. They serve Chinese Beer Tsing Tao only, and quite expensive.Dishes are served without any explanation. Veg Spring rolls are fried from Frozen, hence are tasteless.Over all it was not the same as it was before, when it was a pleasure to visit. Dishes were dull, not presented well.Quite expensive for meal for 3 people.

Loved eating here for many years, it's still good.The Oakwood Palace was my favourite Chinese back in the 80's when I was a regular. By chance I was driving past it and hungry, decided to go back in.It's still good; there's an extensive menu (much better than many other similar restaurants) and a pleasant waiter to serve us.Parking wasn't as easy as I remember, but wasn't too difficult.The food was good, although not as as special as I remember (what is though) and the temperature in the restaurant was a but low. However we enjoyed our meal and I look forward to returning should I ever be passing again.Finally, because it might make you smile, not because it's in anyway related to the Oakwood palace.After finishing our Chinese food, my husband and I cracked open our fortune cookies.Mine read, “Be quiet for a little while.”His read, “Talk while you have a chance.”

Worst Chinese I’ve ever tasted. The Chicken Satay was cremated , and came with curry sauce instead of Satay. The order was missing a main meal, not that I’m disappointed now after tasting the rest of it. Bland and tasteless.
