Very polite and helpful staff. Very nice and reasonably priced food. All in all the Missus and I had a very enjoyable visit. So well done and Many Thanks to all at the Gryphon 👏👍

Nice atmosphere and food. However, after attending the restaurant on multiple occasions i commonly see the same waitress on the floor by herself visibly stressing due to the workload. I have also noticed that as this is happening, other members of staff, including the floor manager, are behind the bar regardless of whether there are guests present or not.On my next visit to the pub i plan on observing the waitress ,assuming she's there, to see if this problem repeats itself and i will be taking a photo to show the manager to see if he is aware of the situation and how it can be sorted

First visit since changed ownership and wasn’t impressed. Our table was next to a red hot radiator with extra heat vents behind us. It was extremely uncomfortable. One meal came without pulled pork. Children’s meal came minus the advertised peas on a plate so dangerously hot I couldn’t touch it. Waitress used folded over tea towels to bring them over to protect her hands. Putting something so hot in front of a 3 year old is idiotic!Waitress seemed put out by our requests. We all noticed her rolling her eyes! Finally, not enough serviettes.Meal was ok but nothing special. The new layout has resulted in a narrow corridor between the back area and the exit getting clogged up by waiters and customers and some poor blokes jacket on the back of his chair being trodden on before someone’s child tripped on it.I miss the old Harvester that used to be there. Plenty of much better places to eat so won’t be going back.

Nice Ember Inn enjoyed quiz too as bonus didn't know it was on. Helpful staff. Would have got 5 if the Pride or some other decent beer were on not Doombar!

Enjoyed a meal out here with the family. Our waitress was lovely as were the bar staff, and they all gave service with a smile (quite rare these days). Food was good, I ordered sweet chilli noodles and they came out very fresh with lots of healthy veg packed in, so a nice change from the usual pub grub you sometimes find in places like these. Had the perk of some live music towards the end of our evening which was entertaining. We very much enjoyed our visit and I would return without hesitation.

Nice re-furb for sure, but sheer let down when it came to the food. No Sunday roast at 3? Work that one out? Long wait for food from main menu, we waited 2 hours and what we received was pretty dire. Credit for staff refunding because we we’re pretty cheesed off by that point. I won’t be rushing back, I might some day re-attend for drinks only but definitely not food. Unfortunately, the Harvester ghost remains!

Gorgeous atmosphere, lovely staff and the food is delicious. They served the best Christmas dinner I have had in a long time! Loved it!!

No longer a Harvester - but not far from it. The vibe is a bit like a spoons. The staff are lovely, but the atmosphere is pretty charmless. It's often crowded with a lot of kids running about - loutish blokes and loud flashy ladies. Cheap food and cloying cocktails.

Our first time here & we will definitely be back. Really nice pub, free parking for its visitors. Lovely inside & outside. Much bigger than expected. You can book your table via phone or app in advance - or you can just turn up ( Sep 2021).The menu offer is good, offers variety & reasonably priced. Children menu available. You can order via app or you can order at the bar. Check your table number first. They take cash as well!We went on Saturday afternoon & it was fairly busy, it got very busy around 6pm. We waited for a bit, but nothing major if you are expecting fresh food. The staff were definitely rushed off their feet, but still very nice & smiley & helpful.Food was very tasty, everyone enjoyed it.The toilets were clean, changing room for babies available. Buggy friendly. Definitely family friendly. If I could ask to improve something- please do bring in something for kids to do. A slide, small trampoline, some games, sand pitch, climbing frame, maybe some colouring pencils or boarding games? That would be fantastic ( for parents).I gathered the offer quizzes during the week & there’s a special ( cheaper) food offer Monday - Friday.Overall - a lovely place, yummy food, friendly staff & atmosphere - we will be back.No longer Harvester - it’s under the new management of Ember Inns since September 2021.Thank you!

Gave a star for the chicken but the gravy is disgusting tastes dirty, the salad is old snd not tasty, drinks are in a dirty looking glass. Waitress says they’re gonna close permanently soon so she’s not interested in anything!!!
