The Salisbury Arms in Enfield

They had very limited dishes as we missed Sunday lunch so ordered the fish and chips. It was delicious and crispy. Plus, this is the only pub I know that sells my favourite red wine 19 crimes. So 5 stars all over. Service is great too. They are quick and on the ball which means the bar isn't clogged with people waiting to be served. There's a car park opposite which requires your car registration in the pub.

Lovely as always, was supper busy for Sunday lunch so make sure you book in advance for peak hours. Great service and food.

We booked for a Valentine's Day meal having had several enjoyable meals here prior to Covid. Sadly we were really disappointed by our experience tonight.There was no special Valentine's menu as before and a couple of items on the were not available. The food we were able order was in all honesty one of the worst meals we have ever had. Let's begin with the starters. The garlic mushrooms were very unappealing to look at and quite tasteless. Not a trace of garlic. The chipotle falafel with pomegranite seeds was a bizarre combination; bland and over cooked falafel served in a shockingly acidic sauce, so much so that you couldn't' help but wince at the taste. Now to the main courses. The seafood linguine consisted of mushy, over cooked pasta swimming in a watery pink sauce. This was accompanied by a handful of shrivelled mussels in their shells, a prawn or two and a thumbnail sized piece of squid. Just awful. The no-meat burger was adequate; the kind of thing you buy from the frozen counter at your local supermarket. However at £14 it is extremely overpriced. The accompanying salad was tasteless. I could not discern the contents of the dressing due to the total lack of flavour. The side order of chips resembled frozen oven chips; soft, bland, pulpy. We didn't bother with desert. We did enjoy a couple of glasses of rose wine but this cost us dear. The whole meal came to £78.70. There are so may good local restaurants where we could have spent our hard earned cash and had a really decent meal. This place needs to really up its game because at the moment it is a total rip off.

The Salisbury do a nice Sunday roast with friendly and helpful staff too.

We turned up in a large group so had a large kitty to spend on drinks, barman told us card payment only - must be the only pub in N21 that does this, so we left and went to the Queens Head and a great time.

Booked for birthday drinks in a lovely heated outdoor 'garage' space, this was ideal for us as it was very well ventilated, but also cosy and pleasant.We had around thirty people.Really great atmosphere, we felt well looked after, lovely staff.A great evening, just what I hoped for!

Unbelievable! Our entire group were left with nothing to drink at midnight on New Year's Eve. Apparently the area manager had decided the hard-working staff deserved a break and a chance to celebrate New Year's Eve behind the scenes. So they closed the bar are and every one of them disappeared for half an hour. We had only booked our evening at the Salisbury as they said they were open till 2 a.m. My girlfriend had queued at the busy bar and had asked for a bottle of champagne at 23:50, only to be told the bar was temporarily closed. Despite begging she was told by staff that they were going backstage to have their own party. So she returned to our table where we all raised are empty glasses to bring in the new year. While I am sure the hard-working bar staff deserve a break what does it say about their attitude to their customers. I guess everyone in Winchmore Hill is assumed to be an over privileged Tory voter who never worked hard in a bar or anywhere else where other people are relying on them.Edit .. To the owner .... re your reply. ..You are right , I don't know what your attitude to your customers is, and I am sure your staff don't think like that. The Tory comment was an insult levelled at me for daring to say I didn't agree with them not serving us because they deserved a break. I really don't know why we were treated so contemptuously. My group were all retail staff who regularly work all through holidays and having spent hundreds of pounds already that night at the Salisbury , just wanted a glass to raise at midnight at the end of a very hard year. I personally would have given my customer a bottle and said come and pay for it later. But I don't work in hospitality.

Nice pub, food is at the upper end of pub grub, very nice! About £20 a head for 2 courses. Beer garden, heated patio and big screens for the football what's not to like!Kneck oil is a £6.40 a pint! So bring your wallet

A great pub in North London, very large and with an outside area. It has a fireplace in the center and the tables are a good distance apart. Staff are polite and super helpful. The bathroom is on the top floor, which prevents disabled access. The online menu needs updating, such as: including a photo of the dishes and removing the dishes that are no longer served, as it confuses. It's a nice place!

Such a warm and cosy atmosphere blended with good food options (Sunday Roast in particular and a big selection of nibbles and small plates that will suit everyone.Definitely recommend to anyone in the area
