Fairly awful service: booked a table, but once we arrived we were first told there is a 45 min wait for food(ok to wait, sigh), and in 1 minute we're told they are not taking orders for food.

Roast was perfectly fine; came with one of the most delicious cauliflower sides I've ever tasted. Beware car parking charges - make sure you register your vehicle within 10 mins of arrival.Bit of a bad smell around the toilet area; not sure if it was the toilets or aquarium.

Pub was not crowded for a Thursday lunch time. Food was reasonably priced & served fairly quickly. Had an offer on some drinks. 2 for £7. Masks were optional.

This is my favourite pub I've been to in London so far. The staff are brilliant, the selection of food on the menu and snacks are excellent at great value, the quality is second to none. The pub has a good layout with a sizeable car park and beer garden, there's lots of things going on from meat raffles to quizzes and live music. The location is superb, just ten minutes walk from Southgate tube station and its next to Grovelands Park. Its one of the nicest parks in London with a cafe, lake and pitch and putt golf. Treat yourself to day of it.

Had a fabulous meal there today - beautiful food, huge portions, and very affordable! The manager and staff were very pleasant and accommodating of both our dog and toddler. Recommended!

We've been going to this pub every week with the whole family to have late lunches.After the first time, we loved it.One of the waiters, an Italian man, was really friendly and welcoming.On our last visit, we went to sit at one of the garden tables like we had done previously (as we attend with 2 babies, we have to bring the buggies up the steps and into the garden) but as soon as we sat down, a rude woman approached us and asked us who let us in.We explained that we went to sit like usual and we already did the track and trace procedure (during the whole time we were scanning and adding our details, no one attended the entrance or acknowledged us).She explained that nearly the whole garden was booked for a function and we couldn't stay there. When we were about to leave, both the manager and the nice Italian waiter told us we could have sat inside.As we liked the place we sat inside and ordered some drinks.When we were about to order the food, we decided to leave as we realised the way the manager treated us was poor.We explained that to the Italian waiter and left.Since then we've never gone back, and we will never again.Manners are free and the manager could have explained that nicely and professionally instead of approaching us in such a rude way.Also, a sign would have been even better and easier to avoid people stopping and staff being annoyed by people showing up.
