Eltham Gpo in Greenwich

Great roast dinner! Very generous portions of meat & vegetables & lashings of gravy, which we loved! Thanks to the guy with the blonde ponytail (apologies, but I don’t know your name) who served us & was amazing 🤩

Don't really know Eltham (there visting the swimming pool), but pub was very central and looked inviting from the outside.Inside however could do with a revamp as it all felt very tired looking (possibly being refurbished).Bar staff friendly and the pint after a swim was enjoyable.

I had Sunday lunch here today after visiting Eltham palace. I can honestly say that it was the best roast beef I've ever had (and I've had plenty). Every element was perfect. The beef was cooked medium and was incredibly tender. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The vegetables were outstanding and the portions were generous. Dessert was also brilliant, as was the ale I was drinking. The staff are really welcoming and my only regret is that I don't live closer.

Website said they serve food until 9. I tried to order halloumi fries at 8:54 and they said the kitchen was closed. Their menu also says hotdogs, only to find out it was vegan hotdogs. Very disappointed. Gave it a 2 star because they still have decent music.

Good pub with a great atmosphere.Pop in at opening time(12pm) after Remembrance Sunday parade.Amazing staff!! Polite, professional, attentive and helpful.Lovely roast dinner though my parsnip was a tad undercooked inside but would definitely revisit again.Plenty of seating inside and out but I'd recommend booking for Sunday lunch meal.Decor is a rustic look, but there is a wall area damaged by a current water leak which happened to be right by my table.Toilets located on 1st floor, mens toilet really needs a face lift and a toilet roll holder instead of being left on the toilet cleaner brushNo parking but its available nearby at Sainsburys car park

Loved this place, unexpected respite from the bustle of Eltham. Old fashioned touches such as a roaring log fire and big servings of Sunday lunch. Go early as its quieter and less children as the festive season descends. We didn't book and were lucky with the staff seating us at a reserved table but we would have finished in plenty of time. Definitely worth a visit.

Came in for an excellent Sunday roast with sides of stuffing, pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese. Food was delicious and service was great. A superb range of drinks. 4* because the parsnips were undercooked.

I had a great experience with the GPO pub and restaurant. We had a small gathering of family and friends after a funeral of my aunt, the staff at the pub were so helpful. We had a good experience with one of our family being in a wheelchair, they had good access with a ramp and importantly a great wheelchair friendly toilet. They provided a great good choice of food and prepared some meat veg and fish platters combo of all their starters.

A warm welcome and a great range of drinks. I was made to feel really welcome. Lots of outside space too. It's a must visit I think.

One of the best pub roast dinners we have ever had. We both had the pork and it was a generous portion with good crackling. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere.We were looking for nice place for a roast near Eltham Palace, and we are very happy that we chose this place!
