Great food as always. The service from the staff is exceptional, travel hundreds of miles to eat here it's worth it everytime.

The food is excellent. Haddock and chips with peas was as good as anyone could have hoped for. The problem however was the service.The staff are pleasant and friendly but refused to understand that if you say you have half an hour for lunch, then waiting 20 mins for the fish to be cooked( when you are the only person in the restaurant) isn't the best way to enjoy a meal.To conclude, I thoroughly recommend the food but this isn't the restaurant for you if you are in a rush.

Yes, we waited for 15-20 mins for the food, a bit long. BUT the chips were piping hot and crispy. Obviously it was just out of hot oil pot. Then we felt, OK, it worth the wait.The fish is as fresh as you can get, I have to say many famous fish and chips in London don't have their fish this fresh. The batter is also nicely crispy, not at all over-wet inside nor greasy outside. Staffs are very friendly and they know their local routine customers.We ordered some salad to balance the diet; the salad is a little bit like kabab shop salad, but anyway, you don't go to restaurant for its salad. It does its job: balance our diet.

Top quality fish and chips restaurant. The very best in Eltham. Also does a quality T-Bone Steak too. Very clean restaurant, plus takeaway. Quality service throughout. Very welcoming staff allround. Barry the boss is a friendly geezer aswell lol.

Was looking for a new fish and chips to try and came across this hidden gem. How i did not discover this place before.upon arriving we were greeted by a friendly guy named Barry , lovely ,friendly and very welcoming , these guys have a passion for what they do and it shows in the quality of not only there food but also their customer service , only thing I cannot comment on is consistency as it’s my first time eating here however I will definitely be visiting Barry and the team again at the Eltham grill house huge thanks

The staff are very friendly and they have a takeaway section separate from the dining in restaurants which is immaculately clean and very nicely done out to create a relaxing atmosphere with nice lighting and comfortable seats. I shared a calamari starter and these were piping hot crisp on the outside and beautiful fresh squid inside. I had a large cod and chips with salad and my daughter had a standard size cod and chips and even the standard size was pretty big. We didn’t have to wait too long for our food and it was beautifully cooked to perfection and the fish was very large and extremely delicious the batter even stay crispy right to the last mouthful. Prices are reasonable for what you get and I would highly recommend it if you are a fish and chips lover.

I can’t express how amazing this restaurant is.First of all, the food is ALWAYS cooked fresh, the fish, chips, sausage in batter - the lot. The fish is sourced carefully from billings gate market so there is no frozen fish cooked. All the food they cook is always fresh (never frozen), so the quality is amazing.The staff are amazing, Barry and his team are always kind and polite and provide the best service in the restaurant and in the take away.My Nan introduced me to this restaurant 4 years ago and I’ve made so many memories with her here, she sadly passed away recently but I’m lucky that I can go back to this restaurant with all the memories I have with her.Me and my partner go here at least once a month (recently through take away because of lockdown) but there is no where else I would rather go.The price for the fish is slightly higher than most places but it’s money well spent as you are paying for fresh high quality food. All of the other food is around the same price as other places but again, the quality is a lot better than other place.Thankyou Barry and your team for providing Eltham with a great restaurant.
