Gusellas Italian restaurant in Greenwich

I found the concept of a seasonal menu really unique and exciting.On my visit, I had a hispi cabbage with some sort of anchovy cream sauce as a starter. I liked it. I also tried some of my husband’s pork jowl with mustard starter which was also tasty.For my main, I had brown butter and sage tagliatelle with hazelnuts. It was alright, but nothing outstanding. It was a bit basic and didn’t feel like the main event for me.I liked the poppyseed cake with poached pear which I had for dessert. This was the highlight for me.Overall, the food was good but I expected a bit more especially since the resto is always fully booked and in demand. Maybe I should try it again. After all, they never serve the same menu.

Really great food and nice chilled vibe. Everything is freshly prepared and well presented. The home made ice cream was to die for. So light and so smooth. Great service also. Well worth a visit.

Been here a couple of different times on different days and had the same experience. Food was nice. But only that - fresh, nice flavours, fine, nothing outstanding. You kind of expect fresh, nice tasting food at a restaurant. Service was really weird; pretty unfriendly when we arrived, throwing dishes at us like they were in a hurry for us to leave, and although a bit better towards the end that could just have been the overpriced wine working its magic. All in all over hyped.If you want genuine, delicious Italian food in deptford just go to Alla Salute instead 🤷🏽‍♀️

Only writing a review as the food was exceptional and I can’t wait to go again

The 3 courses for £25 on a Sunday is fantastic value for money. This doesn't mean you get 3 small courses, we left feeling full and happy. The food is inventive and very tasty, a choice of two dishes for each course meant we could find something for everyone. It's a very relaxed vibe with great service. We'll definitely go back.

We ordered 2 pasta dishes. Spaghetti was very tasty. Sicilian pasta was good. For the desert we shared cookie with pear and mascarpone cream. Cookie was more like a granola to us, was a bit hard to chew. Overall, it is a nice place, with very friendly staff.

The concept of changing menu with the seasonal ingredients is the best part of Marcella.Loved their bread and butter which they bring as a complimentary starter!From the tastes you can say right away that they use high quality ingredients yet I believe the price of the mains are slightly high!The pasta could be much better(the sauces and the texture of pasta) but it had an acceptable quality!

Amazing Italian food and good service. A small restaurant so it can get pretty noisy. Quite pricey too but the food really is outstanding.

Delicious Italian food! We were lucky to be seated without a reservation on a Saturday, but I definitely recommend reserving a table if going on the weekend. Service was good, and the food was really tasty and authentically Italian! Easily one of the best spots in East London.. can't recommend it enough!
