Mahatma Tandoori in Greenwich

Food is amazing here, and the times I've gone the atmosphere has been really pleasant, the staff don't hang around staring at you but are within easy reach if you need anything.Some of my group have some allergies and the staff and chefs here will go out of their way to help which is lovely.Prices are actually good from my experience but I stick to pints of coke which is never cheap in any shop ever. Food prices are decent and I've never left feeling like I've spent more than I gained if that makes sense so very happy here too.Overall definitely somewhere I will (and have) come back to time and time again.

Called early around 6pm to place order. It was a 1 hour wait tonight to pick up a £45 order. Told 40 mins on phone then sat waiting in restaurant another 20 mins. It appears they are now on Uber eats so loads of orders going out and maybe there not coping.Once I got it home just 2 minutes away our chicken tikka cold, masalas were watery and Luke warm and only a quarter of the Keema Nan had Keema in it! After an hour wait I couldn’t be bothered to return so reheat it in microwave… won’t be returning

EDIT: How VERY disappointing! Very rude member of staff that hung up on me after I left such a lovely review last month (see below). I had a problem with my card and I asked him to try a different card and was told to go somewhere else and that I live far even though they delivered last time and were quite prepared at the beginning of the call to deliver to my address today. You’ve definitely lost a customer and your staff need to learn some decorum and customer service.Ordered from them last night on deliveroo. The peshwari was delicious. It was super soft, fresh and the coconut was just perfect. Best peshwari naan I’ve ever had. The rest of the meal was great too. The lamb wasn’t tough or dry. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Only downside was having to wait 1 hour and 20 mins for the delivery

Go here its great, i can not rate it highly enough, the service is top class, the food is fantastic . Simple, you want a curry, go to Mahatma Tandoori.

Old fashioned place and decor but good old traditional food. Limited drinks menu. Not expensive at all

Amazing food! Can always rely on this indian restaurant for a fantastic, tasty meal. The staff are great every single time without fail and cater to your needs. 100% recommend.

They’re doing the eat in for half price & we turned up without a booking but they squeezed us in !! Fantastic service, great food ,cold lager & excellent value - can’t ask for more !!

After a meal with a friend Tonight we were disappointed with the service, i have lived in Avery Hill for 50yrs, we decided to try a sit down meal instead of a take away but the waiters were so miserable and made us feel very uncomfortable, not a smile in sight, took our curry sauce away while we were still eating. very noisy and far too small to have a help yourself behind the chairs making customers very HOT from the steam from food. They didn't even acknowledge we were leaving. Won't be back.

Glasses were dirty and had bits in. The food was okay although the naan and bajis were least fresh I have had at a curry house since I can remember. Very bad service and extremely rude waiters, although they were seemed strangely nicer to other customers in the restaurant. Waiters routinely stared at us and our food while stood still with nothing else to do, gossiped and traded smirks between each other. Unpleasant dining experience, would not recommend.
