Pier Fish Bar in Greenwich

One of the worst places ever. The fries were like jelly and with fish taste (I bought chicken wings and I only could eat 1 before needed to spit it). Quality price expensive for what you buy.

The chips here are great, they’re not as good on a quiet day but I’ve certainly had worse. The server is a quirky eastender and always a delight. The batter on the fried fish and batter sausages is delightful. The best chip shop in the area.

Great portions but the chips were a bit cold as they were not fried to order but were already ready.

We came here for our anniversary meal. I know what you're thinking: 'Selwyn, is this really how you want to celebrate 2 years of going out with the best person ever?' Well yes, because we went to The Trafalgar and for £38, we got it for £23.Obviously had a pint and a tea at the Trafalgar mind while watching the river, but figured it's best for a group meal in the future. Had been talking about fish and chips all day so we scouted every shop in Greenwich and decided to come here.Food was made fresh so we listened to Radio X while having a strong cup of tea and waiting. Got given an extra gherkin for our troubles and devoured a lovely haddock and chip meal and sat indoors.Left with some takeaway and said bye to the friendly staff. Came home to reheat the chips in a pan, bit of water to steam them up and dunked them in our fish curry gravy I made last night and it was incredible trying the batter.Can't wait to have it again but it is like 1800 calories! Tried this place out as it's in a great location in the heart of Greenwich/Cutty Sark. I had the fish and chips and I was able to only take a couple of bites of the fish before I had to spit it out. The fish was so greasy and so fishy, I worried after that it might have been "off". I hate to give bad reviews but I was so disappointed to spend £8 on something I had to throw in the bin, that I felt it had to be said.

I asked for a savaloy & was told it’s £1 but the minimum to pay by card is £3 so I asked how much is a savaloy & chips, they said £2 but the guy there said not to worry he will still do it for me. The chips I got served were the left overs at the bottom they were hard & gritty wen chewing on them thought my teeth were going to break so I didn’t finish them I just ate the da slot. Upon checking my account the following day I’ve realized that they charged me £3.95 instead of the £2 that they said was the price for da slot & chips.

I've bought chips here before and they were yummy. I was on my way to see family by 188 bus stop right next to the chippy so thought I would get some chips.They were absolutely disgusting and looked like refried chips very rubbery and bitter. Definitely never going there again what a waste of my £3 .. lady with red houdie @ 2.45pm

Delicious fish and chips in very good price! The cashier and the cook are always very nice! Only one time the chips were slightly undercooked, but GREAT value in general. The fish is big and not greasy, like in many other shops

At £5.95 for fish and chips it is very good value. I would have liked a bigger fish, however it tasted delicious. I will definitely return and recommend to others.
