Went for mother's day meal. Although restaurant was packed, the food still came out quick and was delicious. The minestrone soup was great and the lasagne was piping hot. Great night out

Great Italian restaurant. Friendly and welcoming waiters, tasty food, big portions and well priced. I will visit again.

Booked a table for a Saturday evening. The place was full and had a great atmosphere. We sat down and a friendly couple next to us started recommending dishes and telling us about great experiences they have had there. We ordered starters mains and all the sides in between to try things.Whilst eating our food we were approached by Paula the owner to check our food was to our liking and told that if it isn’t to tell her as everything is freshly cooked by her husband. We never had to use this card as the food was so authentic and tasty.I have never found a better Italian in London and will definitely be revisiting.Food and alcoholic drinks for 2 for less then £100 and a lovely welcoming restaurant that we felt very welcomed too. Highly recommend

Staff was very friendly. Kids enjoyed their carbonara. I had the lobster pasta which was very tasty. My 2nd time here and I would definitely return.

We booked a table here for a Saturday afternoon recently in aid of a birthday celebration. The service was friendly and staff very relaxed and helpful, also intuitive to each persons needs (We had one guest in a wheelchair). Food was absolutely beautiful and portions are not small! Very authentic Italian food and feel. Restaurant does not look much from the outside to be honest but the interior is lovely and very clean and organised. Not cheap, but reasonable for the quality of food. We enjoyed our time here very much and would definitely recommend 😀

What a great find. It was recommended to us by friends and were not disapointed. Great, buzy atmosphere. Staff were wonderful and were a great team. The service first class and the food is some of the best Italian I have had inside or outside of Italy. It is likely to become our regular haunt.

A group of us visited Ristorante Carola as a catch up before Christmas. We received a warm welcome at the door and we met the friendly manager, but that was were the highs stopped. On being shown to our table a waiter quickly appeared, provided a menu and asked what drinks we wanted. I asked for table water, to give us time to properly view the menu and I was told no. We were then pushed to order drinks and only when others had ordered cocktails did the waiter return to me and agree to bring table water. Others who joined our table had the same treatment. The food was tasty although some portions small. Starters were fine as were mains. I would highly recommend the cheesy garlic bread but the ribs although tender were slightly salty. With dessert, the tiramisu was good and a generous portion. The apple pie special, was clearly a portion for 1 but had been cut into 2 and charged at £6.25 each. On raising this with the wait staff we we were told next time order something else. The biggest complaint of the night came with the bill. Our first request for a separate food and drinks bill was met by a no, by the same pushy waiter. He explained we should have told him we wanted this before ordering food and drinks. He then disappeared. A further request for separate bills to the same manager was met by a yes and it was no trouble for her at all. Some of our group couldn't make it to dinner and although a £10 deposit had been paid by everyone, the deposits of those who did not come was kept by the restaurant and not taken off our final bill as the restaurant had not been informed in advance. We explained we had been unaware people wouldn't arrive, in fact as we waited the manager suggested we try the cheesy garlic bread. However, it was restaurant policy to retain deposits of no shows, irrespective of the total amount of the final bill. Nowhere was this policy explained when we booked or when we ordered. This is not a policy I have heard of especially for a non-central London restaurant. Definitely not a restaurant I would go to again. Even the complimentary limoncello shots provided to tables was not provided to ours. There are other pubs and Italian restaurants in the local area which offer better service.

We had such a fabulous lunch here today to celebrate my birthday. Super attentive and friendly staff, food was delicious and plentiful - really couldn't fault the place at all. Would highly recommend if you're after superb Italian food. Dont even get me started on the menu - it's huge with so many mouthwatering choices. Thank you to all of you at Carola - we'll definitely tell our friends about you and will be back.
