Tai Tip Mein in Greenwich

Basic but beautiful, this is a place to refuel.Enjoy flavourful broths, won ton and noodles with veg and aromatic herbs or really full up with gigantic plates of fried rice with all the trimmings (shrimp, pork, chicken, beef and veg).It's not fine dining. Get in, eat, pay, get out. But what you get will be great. It's a delight which has been here decades.Long live 💖

Their special fried rice (#84 on their menu) gave me food poisoning. It’s been over 2 days and I still haven’t recovered. Also, the food wasn’t that tasty, particularly for the price of ~£7.30 per main and ~£5.50 per starter. We spent £50 for an epic case of diarrhoea. Eat at your own risk!

Canteen-style seating, cash only, but good value for money and quick service. Decent sized servings of fresh tasty food that doesn't leave you with an MSG-hangover.

Straight off the bat, this isn’t fine dining. It’s noisy, it’s fast, service is generally great but can be hit & miss, but the food is always first rate. Been coming here for years and the fact that it’s still here and I’m still coming says it all. Love Tai Won Mein!

Copious amounts of tasty food. Freshly squeezed fruit juices available. The starters are large so consider ordering to share. Prices are reasonable but it’s cash only which you only discover at the payment station and there is no bill brought to the table to check what you are charged for! Good for a quick filling meal at a fair price.

no flavour, very bland, warm bottle of water, warm Coke, no ice in glasses either, very disappointed didn't finish mealpics look good but no depth of flavour or seasoning at all.

I used to come here over 15 years a go during college so my friends and I thought we'd visit again today. To our surprise food was still just as good. Large portions and very good prices. Love the freshly squeezed juices, ho fun rice noodle dishes and the deep fried calamari and salt and pepper tofu really good too.The décor looks exactly as it did since it has been opened, very clean with screen dividers to separate tables.One thing to note is that this restaurant accepts cash only. But there is a cash point just outside towards the DLR station.I would definitely come here again when I'm craving a value for money Chinese meal.

This is a canteen style diner. Basic in looks and basic in customer service. Environment could benefit from a proper clean and so would their plates and forks. The portions are very large. They don't have any knives, just forks and spoons.

Delicious food! Ordered the Singaporean fried rice and it tasted absolutely amazing. Very generous sized portions, and priced surprisingly well when considering other local Greenwich restaurants and fast foods.Would definitely recommend trying out Tai Won Mein Greenwich.

If you are around Greenwich and you are looking for Chinese food this is the place to go, a couple of things to keep in mind before going.They only take cash and they will charge 50p extra if you want to take your leftovers with you, for me, this is pretty unusual but if that is not a problem for you don't think twice.We ordered:Amazing pork Dumplings. Good size and the come with their sauce.Vegetable mix noodles. Enormous size and if you are vegan this is perfect because they ask you if you want it with egg or not.Pork and Duck noodles, amazing flavor as well and the size is incredible.In conclusion, if you want a lot of food at a good price and have cash come here.
