I was excited by the reviews so booked in for Sunday roast as had some family members visiting from out of town and wanted to impress. I was very disappointed and a bit embarrassed in front of my family at the quality of the food vs the price point. Portion sizes small, and I don't have a big appetite (I think there were 3 roast potatoes). Food was lukewarm, roast potatoes themselves were powdery, everything was swimming in gravy. My family I think summed it up with their review: "it was fine". "Fine" is disappointing when it's nearly £20 a plateHowever, the place is nicely decorated, so I do look forward to going back in the summer to use the garden, but this time I'll be sticking to drinks and will give the food a miss.

Guildford Arms has lost its heart sadly, the filoxenia of Greece. Guy used to come out of the kitchen to say hello, and his cooking is as good as ever, so please pop out Guy. Sadly the bar staff decided the place was closed at 2245, so with no warning we couldn’t get a last drink. And we’d had such a lovely evening. So silly to say ‘the bar staff had gone home’ when they were sitting there. Even worse, to be made to feel a bit guilty, being told ‘ they didn’t normally open on a Monday’. It was their choice to offer a Valentine Menu on a Monday! We are far from first time visitors, very short sighted.. the food is great though.

The food was ok ( just that) but it was the staff attitude which let it down most of all. Three of us sharing a large mezze and when we asked for an extra piece of pitta as there was only one - the request was met with what I would describe as consternation and stern warnings that we would be charged ( we were charged £3.50). We were told by the manager that the chef gets cross about these requests. I don't think they were home baked pitta breads!

The food really was top quality, with generous portion sizes :) I'd really recommend going into the garden, as it was really well decorated and pretty !And of course the staff were perfect.

Absolutely perfect night at The Guildford Arms. Food was exceptional, the beer was brilliant (they serve Peckham brewery beers) and they have done a superb job of creating a rather classy outdoor eating area. What could have been a dreary beer garden is a perfect outdoor eating experience for these werid times. Each table is covered and heated .. no hesitation in recommending sitting outside.Staff were friendly and attentive but not too much.

Wonderful outside space, all staff absolutely nailed it with friendly smiles, menu knowledge and efficient service. Our entire party was really impressed with the food, the service and the ambiance. Definitely one to keep going back to.

Delicious food, Morden and light interior, big and very welcoming garden, a wide range of drinks. This is a real gastro pub, a new generation pub! Absolutely loving it.

We were so excited to visit this place after reopening and it disappointed us so much!Very lovely interior and probably that’s it.Prices:It is very overpriced for sure(see pictures) For monkfish 18£ without side, it looked hideous on the plate...Cheese plate 12£ I mean really? All mains cooked without side so you have to pay extra for this. you’ll end up paying 20 £ just for the main.Service:The waiter brought us a wrong drink, then a wrong order for the table. What's more, they were rude about what happened. (which is so weird for a new place) I didn’t have parmesan in my pasta, but it was listed in the menu, so I needed to ask for this separately. As a bonus, we had a rotten cheddar, which we decided not to return just because we didn't want to ruin our evening even more.I loved this place before the renovation, it was the place where you can enjoy great food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. This place doesn’t have anything I listed above.NOT Recommend.
