Bar Kick in Hackney

Really liked the atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive, making the place feel safe for women. Kudos to Bailey, she looked after us wonderfully.

Sadly not what the Kick used to be… They renovated and got rid of 80% of the foosball tables, the place lost all character and social vibes and feels like another random bar. It was a foosball institution in East London. 😢

This place had been on my list, and I was very happy to check it off yesterday; great spot to watch sport w/ lots of well-placed TVs. Great beers and good food as well - will definitely be back

Despite myself and party having the most awkward positioned football table we had a great time at Bar Kick. On a game day if you are not watching football and a small group it was the most likely thing to happen so please note that. We were happy to get a table especially when I booked the day before. Super friendly staff, great service and even loosing all my games on the table football I left a happy customer. I would go again.

Had not been here in a while. Used to love it, the place was filled with Foosball tables, and the environment was very friendly. We booked two tables for a group of 9 and on arrival we found out it is under new management and 95% of Foosball tables have been replaced with normal seating areas and only 5 tables remain for playing. Our tables were separated so we could not play next to eachother. The place looks like all other bars and clubs in the area and is no longer special nor does it stand out from the crowd. The bar is slow, very slow. The drinks aren't great, my G&T had no lime very little ice and the cheapest gin. My friends beer was taken away from behind us and it was full. This is sad, this is now just another bar in Shoreditch..... nothing new nothing or interesting.

It's changed - and not necessarily for the better. We had been going for years since around 2007 and finally made it back after 3 or 4 years away. It feels like a lot of character has been lost following the renovation and feels like 'another' London bar. That and the very discrete, automatic addition of a 12.5% service charge when ordering food at the bar - yet we still had to go back to the bar to get cutlery and serviettes! Small, silly things but they don't entice me to go back sadly.

Come here for most big games and will continue to do so. Always a fantastic atmosphere with the staff being very friendly and informative. The food is also delicious - highly recommend the smash burger! Not to mention the great location in the heart of Shoreditch.

Had a really lovely meal juiciest of burgers and the skin on chips are to die for! Shout out to our lovely waiter. Friendly great service and personally recommended and mixed our Zombies which were delicious. Shout out to the DJ too. Would deffo visit again.

Very nice relaxed atmosphere. All age groups interacting perfectly. This was especially apparent when as a 40+ person I was able to chat and joke with the bar team without feeling like someone's grandad. Basic food menu but good quality and well presented. I really liked it. Oh and there's sports on TV too if you like that kinda thing. 😉

They've done a good job with the renovation works: the place is sleek but comfortable at the same time. Good drinks and friendly stuff, foostable tables just like before. Super bonus addition: they have a great in-house DJ now who plays a very good and varied repertoire perfect both for dancing or just listening while you carry on with your night!
