Really nice place, vibe, decor and staff !We had one of each from each category between the two of us. As a starter we had the hummus with additional pitta bread as well which was the highlight as the pitta bread was super fluffy and the hummus super smooth. The blackened sweet potato was the second surprising highlight. The lamb was nice. The aubergine, because they put yoghurt on top expect it to be a cold dish, it had nice flavours but we prefer hot foods, to no fault of the dish.Cocktails were nice, really enjoyed their smokey old fashioned that is served with smoke on top. They don't do physical menus so you need to scan the barcode at your table however for us the reception was really bad and nothing would load. But the staff provided the WiFi for this. The severs will still take your order in person, you don't order online or anything. When you are ready to pay, you scan the barcode again and you pay your bill online which accepts apply pay and Google pay making the paying process really fast. There's also a split the bill feature which is really nice option to have.Overall will come again, would like to try their brunch!

A really fantastic place for food. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed, and the food is so delicious and plentiful and the staff are attentive and welsomong. One of my favourite restaurants in London, which I visit often. They also do an amazing delivery, and their cookbook is 100% worth getting.

We all thought it was fantastic. Had the big table in the corner. Nice and intimate vibe and dishes with lots of flavour. The cauliflower and pork belly were really great. Coming back soon.

Accidentally went there with a friend as the place we planned to go was “temporarily closed” probably due to covid. It’s really cold outside currently so entering the space feeling so much warmth was a pleasant surprise! You could easily sit in a thin shirt , dress etc.Thank goodness we only ordered one thing to share as we were very hungry and almost got 2 of the brunch options (Israeli sharing platter and another one) but the platter was enough for us both.Very similar to our cuisine (Greek and Turkish) so was nice flavours of home. We didn’t have any meat so can’t judge that but smelled so nice in there. The customers service was also exceptional in my opinion. Very friendly, and even though we stayed longer than maybe other clients they didn’t pressure us in any way - there was no queue or anything otherwise we would have respected there are others that want to sit in.The only reason I put 4 stars is because everything was overly salted to my own likes. I had to keep on having water or the yoghurt option to smoother the salt on the avocado. Or the feta cheese that was next to the avocado. But we cleared all plates ! That’s a proof of yummy food :) thanks for having a warm space and great vibe !Oh and go to the toilet 🚽 so fun ! There were sounds of Algeria / Morocco not sure. And then some dancy music I almost started dancing there while washing my hands haha.Anyway if you are a foodie - go ! It’s worth a visit and probably the meat is nice.

The food was okay, although the meat arrived cold, but the service was truly outrageous. The table was half an hour late, we were yelled out for being in the way (i.e. at the bar, where we were told to wait), and we were basically asked to help clear the table (the waiter was literally waiting for me to empty and stack the plates). The highlight was the staff member - who was too busy singing Killing Me Softly to herself to wait on anyone - greeting us with a very xenophobic "French people are very rude" on our way out. Definitely not going back.

Great vibe and tasty food - perfect for large groups. We chose Berber & Q for a birthday meal for my bf. We were a large group of 12 so has the set menu, which was really great. We started with some meze and flatbreads. Baba ganoush was a highlight. Then onto the mains - whole roast chicken, pulled lamb and and selection of sides. The chicken was FANTASTIC. We were a bit too full for the deserts, but they were also delicious. The portions were more than generous and we actually felt like we wasted quite a lot, which was a shame, but everyone left happy & full! The cocktails were also yummy and the staff were great at giving recommendations and being super accommodating when we wanted to being a cake out for the birthday boy. The whole vibe of the place is also great. Busy, vibrant, exposed brick, great lighting. Would definitely go back and recommend to others, especially if you’re looking to accommodate a big table. The only thing that I would do next time is get the table for slightly longer as the end of our meal was a little bit rushed as we only had it for 2 hrs (which felt like more than enough time when we booked, but you live and learn!)

TLDR; A little gem of a restaurant tucked away next to Haggerston station. A good selection of grilled meats and veggies with a middle eastern twist. The mezzo and sides were the highlight of the menu. The mains were unfortunately average, despite being cooked over a real coal fire. We had the slow cooked lamb which was served in a pita. Flavours were ok but expected more at £19.The starters and sides are where the real interesting items are. The grilled wings were delightful and packed tonnes of flavour. The baba ghanoush and labneh (yoghurt) were equally as good. The staff were attentive and service was good. The restaurant itself is under an old railway arch so it is not huge which makes for a nice intimate atmosphere.

Tasty Middle Eastern food, really cosy and intimate candlelight restaurant. It can get quite loud due to the layout of the store (arches, tables too close to each other). Good cocktails too. Relatively quick service. It is also quite dear. Busier at the weekends compared to weekday evenings. Waiting staff not the friendliest but professional. Overall it was a positive experience. There’s wheelchair accessible ramp at the entrance but unsure how a wheelchair could fit in. Toilets are decent.

This place is fantastic. I love the atmosphere created by low lighting, ambient music and comfy seating. The kitchen is semi open and you can smell the delicious bbq smoke. We are loads and all of it was perfectly delicious, the sharing lamb was a sensation so we left with their cookbook so we could copy the recipe at home for friends. Brilliant date night venue, all the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

We came here back in December. We were a group of 8 adults and went for the sharing menu. The moment we came in we got this feeling of being abroad. It was warm, the smell of the barbecue and good vibes were all over the place. You can see the kitchen were the food is prepared and drool whilst waiting for your food. I must say that I bought the previously and cooked at home for some friends and they were impressed. But it cannot compare being here. The food was superb. The lamb melt in your mouth. The honey hummous was fantastic and the chicken so tender and moist. The roasted cauliflower could turn any carnivore in vegan. It was simply delicious. And all of that combined with the atmosphere made it an amazing evening. Can't wait to come back again.
