Beautiful food, friendly staff and an incredibly talented pianist. I had the vegan set menu which was full of flavour and diversity. It’s not common to find a vegan menu so tasty. The oyster mushrooms had the texture of scallops and the sauces all had an incredible depth of flavour. The bar staff are super chilled and easy to talk to. Nothing felt forced. A very relaxed vibe with great music and a considered drinks menu. Nothing to complain about at all, I’m sure we’ll be back.

Incredibly rude staff and we were asked to give back the table like four times. We also had to remind the waiter three times for a bottle of sake which we found out was made in the Netherlands and crazy overpriced. People also turned around at the door and left after they experienced the rude staff at the entrance. Food was good but nothing special, sushi rolls were tiny so were the other portions. Absolutely zero flexibility on the menu and cocktails are all pre mixed and tiny tiny. Not a good experience at all, this place is a money making machine churning tables with extremely high profit margins.

Love love love this restaurant and this dance floor! Music selection, soundsystem and food are all incredible.Suggestion: invest in better isolation for the DJ booth as the Isonoe feet do not seem to be enough: at the minimum touch of the dj booth, the needle skips!

Fantastic jazz DJs and sound system set in a cool cozy atmospheric bar/dining space. It is an attempt at replicating Japanese listening bars. I will be visiting again purely due to this, but only for drinks. The set meal: basic unadventurous "contemporary" Japanese dishes (contemporary meaning added sriracha mayo). The quality is ok and at a fair price point for London, but do not expect to be blown away if you are familiar with Japanese cuisine. It is easy to tell that several of the dishes were prepared the day or more before (dry rice being the obvious giveaway). As others have pointed out the quantity of food is not great either, you are left with a "is that it?" when the waiter suddenly clears your table.Non-vegan set menu £30/person: edamame, salmon tartare, sashimi (tuna, salmon, yellowtail), cucumber maki, chicken karaage, side salad.Surprisingly limited cocktail menu (choice of 4), of which all were diluted and bland despite the seemingly quirky recipes. Nice wine selection although I didn't explore this thoroughly. My review might seem harsh in contrast to the 4 star rating, but I do recommend visiting despite the above, I had a lot of fun and it was a great unique (in London) experience.

Fantastic food, friendly staff, awesome music and sound system. I mistakenly booked a non-vegan set menu for one of our party, but they were very accommodating and let us change at short notice. Just want to get back later in the night next time!

Love this vibrant place for a bottle of natural wine and some Japanese plates. In the summer, the front terrace is great for people watching, which I love doing… especially after a few glasses! Loud music in the evening, get a Petit Breton or a Negronis depending on the mood and hit the dance floor!

Great atmosphere, tasty and novel cocktails and delicious Japanese cuisine. We had a wonderful time here. We sat at the bar (our preference) and had a couple of cocktails and the tasting menu. The Rum Negroni was so well balanced and all the dishes delicious. This place is great, highly recommend a visit. Do book, it gets busy.

Absolutely delicious food. Friendly staff, and a perfect vibe with the music. One of my favourite London places.

Although the food was amazing and the staff was very helpful I can't give it more than 2 stars. The music was extremely loud and even though they were asked to lower the volume multiple times both by my group and the staff they refused. Also if you go as a group be prepared to share. The restaurant only has a set menu, which would be good value for the food if the portions had an acceptable size and you didn't have to share everything.

The food was truly top notch, though expensive and with slightly small portions. The menu is seasonal and ever changing. It was slightly limited though we were able to find enough excellent dishes to satisfy us. You can try many different exciting flavours. They had a DJ, which I felt was a little strange given the place was almost empty on the Sunday I visited. The music was gentle, sometimes eerie - perhaps sometimes sleepy - jazz. They have a very expensive looking sound system and recommended our seat based on acoustics, so they obviously take it very seriously, though I don't think it stood out or changed the experience much, to be honest.
