Bunbunbun Vietnamese Food in Hackney

Great lunch price offer, starter, mains and green tea at £12. They should let me finish my starter first before bring my mains as it got cold by the time i got to it.

I had their pork belly set meal. The pork belly itself was flavourful and tender but it wasn’t hot. Almost luke warm which is a shame. The ‘vegetable soup’ just tasted like msg powder mixed in water with some vegetable leaves thrown in. The service was a bit unprofessional as there were quite a few young staff working there but they just kept chatting to each other and two of them were in a couple with each other and so each time they were back at the bar they would just be hugging and kissing each other which isn’t really what you want to see your waitress/waiter doing in between serving tables. Overall, I probably would come back and try some of their other dishes but hopefully the service is more professional and the food is hot.

Went yesterday, lunchtime special £12.00, delicious. It was well cooked, fresh, and plentiful!We had vegetable spring rolls, the tastiest we've had. Then tofu curry, and tofu with noodles, both fantastic.The service was good, and we will go again.

Amazing authentic Vietnamese food. The staff were attentive and helpful and they had all my favourites. I will definitely be going back.Parking outside from 7pm onwards is free.

Recently dined here after seeing the high ratings. However I was left extremely disappointed, the food itself did not taste very authentic. The broth (based on first hand experiences visiting Vietnam) was very plain and texture less, it was almost comparable to Bisto Gravy that you can buy off the shelf from Tesco. Service could have been better, as my friend who ordered the beef brisket asked for advice from the waitress on how to eat it as it came out with a lot of sides (which he was not expecting), the waitress said she had never seen the dish ordered before and didn’t know how to advise him. For those chasing true authentic flavours I would avoid this place.

This was such a great recommendation from a friend. Enjoyed my dinner there! Staff members are very friendly, efficient and engaging. The place is clean and fairly spacious and have a bit of a cosy feel towards it.Food was really good and a great menu with good variety of choices from starters to main. Definitely recommend this place and I'll go back for sure.

Best Vietnamese food I’ve had in London. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Looks like it was BYOB aswell so that’s good to know for next time. Spring rolls slapped.

Definitely one of the best Vietnamese restaurant in London, very surprised someone gave 1* review for the food. The spring roll was fried perfectly with great flavour, and the beef pho was just pho-nomenal (look at the empty bowl). The service was attentive and polite, and absolutely great deco as well. Will definitely be back very soon!

This street is full of Vietnamese restaurants but it’s definitely worth it to go to one of the farther ones - this one! Small but cozy with chill interior and friendly staff. Food was amazing, the pho broth was THE BOMB!!! Prices are decent as well and the place was crowded all throughout evening. Will come back for sure! (Only negative point was the music that was playing in the background that didn’t fit the vibe at all - maybe adjust that to something more chill)
