Went for Lunch, the menu looked nice and I ordered the Sunday roast over the gnocchi. Sadly a mistake. The roast was terribly dry. For £15 the portions looked great however the chicken and potatoes tasted old. Creamed leeks cold and foul.Red cabbage dressed with balsamic ok and maple roasted parsnips and carrots not bad.A pint of Rosie’s Pig strawberry cider saved the very average meal. Highly recommended if you enjoy sweet beverages.Otherwise my friend enjoyed her vegan roast and sticky toffee pudding. And there is an area where you can enjoy your meal where it’s dog friendly (although this is the dingy dark side of the pub)The rest of the pub has a traditional pub vibe and the well-lit rooms looked inviting as well as a pool table at the front that looked enjoyable.Disappointing about the roast lunch.

Been here a few times over the years. Decent range usually available across cask, keg and bottle/can. Average pub service. The place itself has an interesting aesthetic, kind of like a big old house, maybe haunted. Really nice back garden area. This place is a little out of the way and not a destination, I wouldn't say. But if you're looking for a Hackney beer scene deep cut, this is an option.

One of our favourite local boozers. Always a nice atmosphere. Very family friendly during the day and nice and lively in the evenings.Good outdoor space, which is mainly covered.Consistently good food.Good events as well: quiz, sports, comedy etc.

Good selection of drinks - music and lively place on a Saturday night. I know it’s going for the rough look but it could do with a deep clean

Great service and accommodating for disabled wheel chair users and young children. Food and drinks good as well, nice Sunday roast; Beef, Chicken and Mushroom Wellington. Definitely worth stopping by if your in the area. Large garden, pool and fooseball table also allows dogs! 👌

·

Great pub with multiple areas and large beer garden

The roast is rubbish. Parsnips were not cooked carrots were over cooked and neither were roasted. Potatoes beef and Yorkshire puds were alright. Generally I think pub roasts are a waste of money and this is no exception. No love in the meal

This is a nice pub with a good outside area although it rarely gets the sun for very long out the back. More likely to get the sun out the front. Range and price of drinks is pretty standard for the area. I haven’t eaten here although the menu looks good. My friend ate a mac n cheese here and said it was far too salty. Found the staff to be friendly and the facilities to usually be clean.

service was a bit slow and awkward as it was hard to flag staff down while not being able to get up to go to the bar and there’s no app for ordering, but the person serving us was lovely and accommodating and the food was super good

A cavernous pub, draped in derelict decor. The exceedingly high ceilings are wonderful, however, the shabby, faux industrial loom is tired, and not executed well. There are bar game, open fire and the beer is good which provide some salvation. I pop in when I’m about.
