Dino's in Hackney

My daughter and I had a lovely lunch , posh fish finger sandwiches, with salad and crinkle cut chips home made coleslaw 😋 served by a lovely gentleman.

Great good quality breakfast at a reasonable price. Lovely service from Dino, the dog even got her own sausage. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because the chairs arnt that comfortable.

Friendly service. Extremely covid friendly. Can be seen scrubbing the tables and chairs very thoroughly (not just a quick wipe) as soon as people leave. Food excellently cooked. Not greasy. Well presented.

A lovely place, you can see the beach from here. Very welcoming & friendly staff. Good menu, plenty of choice. Good price as well. Food was tasty, perfect timing. There’s seating indoors & outdoors - you are looking at the beach. Suitable for families, they were very kind to ours. No toilets directly on premises but there’s a free public just 1 minute away. Parking is around, but you have to be lucky. Pay by card or cash. No nonsense. Recommended!

The lady serving was very kind polite and helpful, as we were late to get into town for some food she asked the gentleman and the chef to see of we could have some food as its was closing time on a bank holiday, they were very accommodating and said yes, 3 other places had closed and others were just a flat out no so we were very happy, the food was quick to be served and was lovely so thank you.

We were greeted on entry and seated. My guest and I ordered our meal and soft drinks. These arrived and the meal was most enjoyable. When the bill came I offered to pay by my Debit card. This was refused saying that there card machine was out of order. My guest and I checked our cash and found that we did not have enough lose change to pay the bill. As I am over 70 years of age my guest a lot younger offered to go to a local cash point and get some money, he left and said he would be about 10 minutes. To recap, the menu states that they accept all popular credit and debit cards. When we ordered our meal the waitress did not say that payment by credit or debit card was not available and any transaction must be in cash. I sat back down at the table to await my guests return with enough cash to pay the bill. The waitress or owner did nothing to ease the situation ie by offering me a soft drink while I waited, instead a Very large man appeared from the rear and sat diagonally behind me 3 rows back. He sat there and appeared to just be staring at me. Making me feel very uncomfortable and intimidated. When my guest returned and gave me some cash the large intimidating man rose immediately and returned to the rear of the restraunt. As I paid the bill no apology was given by the restaurant . My guest and I left with intention never returning. Shame because the food was good.

Lovely views of sea front. Very friendly we felt very welcome. They went out of the way to accommodate us (5 adults and 5 kids) even when they were busy. Great fish and chips and lovely dinner choices.
