Went here on a quiet afternoon, food was delicious, service was fast. Had the Pho and the Banh xeo. The place is cute and cozy. Would recommend!

It's a quirky little place with cool viet art on the walls. Interior very basic and so is the service - but the food will blow your socks off. Spring rolls see super crispy, coconut rice a fragrant treat. Friends I went with had the veggie Pho and the braised spicy beef Pho and both absolutely loved it. Wonderful little place!

Hundreds of pound spent and they still tried to squeeze money from us. Tonnes of hidden fees on top of the £4 corkage (we were aware of) which meant our large group paid almost £50 extra on top of this they charged a discretionary 12.5% and a large group 12.5%, the corkage was included in the food bill so is also subject to the service charge. This is before they asked for a tip on the card reader which may make you think that you hadn’t paid a service charge. Came here for a friends birthday, large group of people. The food was good, service was okay they just need to be more transparent with the pricing.I definitely feel like they’re trying to scam you.

My wife and I ate here on a quiet Friday lunchtime. Having arrived not too long after opening time, we were seated immediately by a very friendly and welcoming staff member. We ordered pork banh mi, pho (available in two sizes) and a Vietnamese coffee.Prepared in a lively kitchen very quickly, the food was packed full of flavour and was very enjoyable. I'd say that it was good value for money too, as you can easily have lunch for under £10.Would recommend.

I picked this restaurant because they offer pho and banh mi, and also do a weekday lunch deal. I ended up getting the small pho, which was £2 cheaper (and probably what is given to you if you pick it from the lunch deal), along with an iced coffee. My husband got the honey grilled pork banh mi. The pho was alright. The beef was very tender, but the broth was mild and didn’t match the amazing pho I had in California. As well, the small size was actually a bit too small even for me. I was quite hungry later in the afternoon. My husband’s banh mi was very flavourful, so I think he got the better meal. The coffee was good, though.

The food is absolutely delicious and so flavourful! I had the salt and chilli squid, which was freshly made and fragrant. I followed with a coconut curry and sticky rice, again delicious and filling. The customer service is what really makes Hanoi Cafe brilliant, there is a personable and funny waiter named Michael who has made our experience such a lovely one. I will definitely be returning!

Omg! The food was delicious. Highly recommend. The staff were also super friendly! We ordered the crispy noodles, salt and pepper tofu and spicy brocoli veggies. There were also a lot of vegan options!

I had high hopes as was listed as the top place on the pho mile. Unfortunately, there was a real lack of vietnamese influence in the flavours - no punch, no fresh fragrant herbs, burnt nems, poor presentation and too much salt. Sorry but I wouldn't recommend this establishment. Despite the story of its beginnings and the family background that makes it appealing, it did not deliver. The best dish was the chicken and cabbage salad.
