Itto in Hackney

Starters were great, but I ordered the basil chicken and all I could taste was coriander. Spoke to the manager and was told this was normal.

I admit that I haven't had the pleasure to dine at this restaurant, but I feel compelled to post this comment. Recently I had to stop at this restaurant as I needed the girly room desperately. The wait staff guy looked stunned when I said " I'm a damsel in distress and I need to use the girly room" both he and the man behind the counter said yes and I didn't even have to show proof- that being my disability which is both seen and unseen. I'm thankful because the Dentist that's I'd stopped at prior said that their toilets were not working!!! Thank you Itto staff for your kindness to me.

Food is good but there is no care about the people eating in the restaurant, the only priority is deliveroo.We waited an hour for a bowl of soup while we could see food for the drivers outside getting prepared. We finally managed to eat only after complaining but anyway it was so late that it ruined our evenings plans.Not worth eating there and if you do refuse to pay the 'service charge'!

I love the food but it seems you only care about deliveroo orders and not customers in person, every time I go we get the starters with 15 minutes difference from each other so by the time everyone on the table gets their food is all cold, very slow to serve never at the same time … Please bring the food for everyone on the table at the same time ! Thank you

I absolutely love this place. I live round the corner and I'm lucky to have such a nice restaurant so close. The aromatic duck is amazing. It's nice and crispy, not too greasy, and the portions are really generous. Highly recommended :)

As a local I was looking forward to trying Itto but I'm sad to say it was a very disappointing experience. I ordered the green curry with veggies, and I don't know what I just ate, but it definitely wasn't green curry.. tasted like coconut milk with some chilli. Unfortunately I won't be eating here again.

This place is AMAZING. Such a hidden gem. In two minds about reviewing because I don't want this place to get too popular and then we can't just rock up and get a table... We went last week for a Saturday lunch to treat ourselves and felt super safe and spaced out from the others. It was a rainy day so it wasn't busy which was ideal for us! We ordered lots of different things including the vegetable tempura, spring rolls, veggie gyoza, vegan tofu lunch bowl special, and duck pancakes. I'm vegan but my husband isn't and my veggie food was incredible - literally the best veg tempura I've ever eaten and I have tried that dish from every restaurant imaginable, so it's the highest of compliments. Their smoothie was delicious and my husband enjoyed the floral tea he ordered - I can't wait to come back with my friends!! The service was lovely, the value for money even better and my mouth is watering just thinking about the food I had there. Thanks so much Itto <3

The team and i went to Itto for our Christmas lunch.The atmosphere was lovely, i had a warm Japanese Sake (which was pretty nice as it was my first time having it warm) Katsu and pork buns-not in photo.The service was very good and i'd highly recommend this place to anyone; they even cater to folks who are vegan.

Another great gem added to Stoke Newington. Definitely going back! The salt and pepper tofu is one of the best I've had! As well as the steamed prawn dumplings
