Lavang Spice in Hackney

I have never eaten prawns the way these was cooked I ordered the prawn purée & it was very salty & prawns was hard & chewy I also ordered a prawn korma Again the prawns was rock hard & the sauce had conjelled it was thick & tasteless Never again will I order from this Indian

If you like pure oil with food, this place is for you. The food is served on a soup of oil.Everything comes bathed in oil. Oil everywhere!!

We ordered a delivery for the first time from lavang last weekend, having tried many currys from different curry houses, and what a lovely surprise, beginning with the guy who took our order on the phone very pleasant and helpful, the delivery was on time and again that was a pleasant surprise, polite and friendly delivery driver, and then the food, excellent tasty food, hot and fresh, definitely will be using lavang again,

Great food every time I order! Good portion sizes that fill you up. Never had them be late and always polite service and the correct order. I usually take out but eating in is also nice and clean from when I have been in.I have edited this post to say a year on, its still great!

Curry always on point, boys that run the gaff always give excellent service and all at a great price. Long live Lavang Spice.

The service was the worst part. There was a really loud table behind us, their voices and shouting echoing in the whole restaurant. They just wouldn’t stop yelling and the staff were just allowing it, they weren’t saying anything to them. We asked the waiter to ask them to be more quiet. The waiter went to them and we literally heard him say: “this table is complaining that you are being loud” and pointed at us which was ridiculously unprofessional. One of the guys at the table started shouting at us “SO YOU COMPLAINED”. They kept being just as loud and the staff kept not telling them anything. We finished our food very quickly and left.The food was also not that good. Never coming again, strongly advise you to avoid.

Worst service in London. Food was not good and it is not even authentic Indian food. Staff is rude and not helpful. There was one table making noise and disturbing all other customers and staff didn't bother to tell them anything. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME.

So happy to have found this place, a reasonable walk from home. The food is well prepared, and there is a good range of standard dishes and a few more unusual ones as well. I like that they have full-size vegetable main courses.They only have bottled beer, but since they are larger than a pint whose complaining?!Service is friendly and they seem to do both good sit down and takeaway business, which is the sign of a good restaurant.

Our local Ruby, come here on the regs. Wonderful food, super friendly service and excellent value for money. Highly recommend
