People's Park Tavern in Hackney

Reserved a table for two in the garden, arrive to be told my table is inside because they can't waste a large garden table on two people. They should update the booking system to avoid this, inside is noisy and full of kids and a completely different atmosphere.

Nice place to have a drink, we've had some fun experiences here, especially in the summer. Thought we'd give their Sunday roasts a go. Unfortunately I can only describe them as stingy - probably the weakest roast experience we've ever had, left hungry, underwhelmed and now on the never again list

Nice pub, lively place to go on a Sunday afternoon with a nice atmosphere. The food was ok, I had a roast and it came cold with the carrots tasting of chlorine. The staff are also quite slow which later in the afternoon led to huge queues at the bar.I ordered and paid for dessert which it turned out wasn’t available. It then took an hour or so to get my money back as the staff member I initially spoke to forgot and didn’t come back to me. Slightly inconvenient considering it was their error.

Lovely lovely pub, with great outdoor and indoor spaces! It would be great if they did gluten free beer though. When I asked, the barman actually laughed, which I think is a bit strange in this day and age. I dont choose to be coeliac! Lots of pubs do do gluten free beer and I think it would be really popular.

Nice pub, with a lot of outdoor seating. Will be perfect in the summer. Nice spot after a stroll in Victoria Park.

I really enjoyed my time here at the peoples park tavern the other day, although there was a problem with our food, and we called the young waiter who was very kind to talk to the chef and give us a different option from the menu. The staff there are very kind, the bar was approachable and just felt welcomed there.Also, it would be lovely if Christmas music was playing, but not too loud too as me and my friends have to shout to speak.This place is really welcoming, do not listen to the negative reviews!! They shouldn't affect on how you see this place!! Their experience was their issue.

This is the second time that I've been to this place and all I can say is high vibe, high energy, great people, great staff and good food I will always be happy to come to this place after all it is called the People's Tavern for a reason.

Great East London institution. Lots of beer on tap that you can't get elsewhere, cool decor and great location. Very sizeable beer garden and marquee too.

🚇 Homerton🍺 £5.60 Laine Word Lager❤️ This behemoth of a pub sits on the north end of Victoria Park and is pretty easy to get to. I walked here from my Daughter’s place in Bow which took around thirty minutes but Homerton overground station is only a four minute walk away. I visited here with my son and daughter prior to a day out around Hackney Wick and was keen to check out the @peoplestavern as I heard some good things. The first thing which strikes you as we approached from the park was the size of the beer garden, its huge. It must be one of the biggest beer gardens in London with a mixture of conservatories, open spaces, huts and an outside bar. We visited during outside only covid restrictions, so this was a perfect place to visit. The weather wasn’t great this day but this didn’t dampen the atmosphere here which was great. The pub has an on-site brewery so I thought I’d try a pint of the Word lager which was nice, my Daughter had a Pimms and my Son had a Guinness which was also decent. We didn’t have to wait too long to get our drinks and some nibbles, the service here was on point. The toilets were inside, so this was an opportunity to see the inside of the boozer which is also huge. It has a long bar with a wooden floor and some nice eclectic touches here and there..The pub is now back in full swing and offers Blues music on Sundays, DJ’s on weekend evenings and a quiz for good measure. I really enjoyed visiting this boozer and must return for the full experience..📊 Information correct on visiting 16/05/21

Great pub garden for a sunny day. Lively vibe, just so nice to be here. Lots of craft beer on tap and cans are available. Buffalo wings were so juicy. Burger was a bit undercooked but still tasty. Goes well with a pint of beer. They have many table at back so no need to book in advance, even on bank holiday. Love this place!
