SAGARDI London in Hackney

Fantastic time at this restaurant for a works team dinner. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. We were a large party of 14 and they could not have been more accommodating. We even added 3 more people on the day and they were absolutely happy to help with this. Excellent food and wine, service was impeccable. Will absolutely be heading back and recommending to all.

I took some time before I decide to leave this review, to understand if I was being grumpy or if the service wasn't worth it.I loved the food something that you will never forget. It was a Bday party (50 years - kind of a big one), we called and asked if we could bring a cake, the answer was to pay £4 per person ( is this a heist?) - defo not a great way to start, when I asked them why? The manager told me that we need to pay £4 for the plates, someone cutting the cake and the service. I told them that we could cut the cake and the manager replied: where you will eat it? (WOW - speechless).So we went there and try to forget about it, while we were hoping that might be an amazing place, but we were wrong! Terrible service and a lot of pushing on sales, if I’m not mistaken the name of the guy who served us was Leo.We paid with the service charge because we wouldn’t do that to the chefs, who let us have an incredible culinary experience, but we were close not to. After we paid we stayed a bit more and we have to ask tap water for 3 times and they just ignore our request. It was a great lack of attentiveness and a massive lack of customer service.The food in this place is unforgettable, but you might need a big improvement on the FOH. Do I want to come back? I don’t know, I don’t want risk to failing another bday or ruining one of my nights out.

Nice meat room and great steaks. There is just one cut - ribeye, but a few different options give enough variety.The sides and starters are tasty too. A good alternative to some of the other steak places in the area.

Great service and great food.We had the baby squid, pork ribs and duck and they were all amazing!The wines and vermouth were simply beautiful.Planning my next visit.

Definitely 5 stars because the cheesecake was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. I was pleasantly surprised.I also enjoyed the food and atmosphere of this place. Service wasn’t perfect. Sagardi has gone right to the top of my list of favourite London restaurants. We experienced great service as soon as we walked through the door and the staff were happy to answer all our questions.The premium steak was excellent and up there with some of the best I've had in London and the Basque Cheesecake was also a highlight. 5/5 can't wait to visit again.

Wonderful lovely Sunday lunch coming to this unique Spanish restaurant with lots of good selection of beef and seafood. Ordered stuffed squid ink meal where the taste of the squid ink is amazing. Loving the grilled octopus dish which is so amazingly tender and fresh. As I couldn’t eat too big of the beef, I went with the Sunday roast beef sirloin instead. Cooked into perfection medium rare and really delicious! The only downside of the roast was some of the sides did not meet much of my expectation. The Yorkshire pudding wasn’t that brown or crispy and potatoes were not grilled or what I expected soft and tender. The courgettes were bit dry. Other than that I think overall, the service was excellent and would definitely recommend people to come here.

The steak was incredibly high quality. We also had sides including mushrooms, wedges and Swiss Chard. All were very delicious, and the staff were very warm and friendly. The wine they recommended was great too. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a good steak.

Really great experience. We came for desserts and were not disappointed. The staff were super helpful. We started with the ratatouille side which was delicious, then moved straight on to dessert. The highlights were the torrija which is made with e5 sourdough and the cheesecake which was silky sheep's cheese. Everything was great.
