Very ordinary cafe. Eggs that were totally solid. Cold beans, cold chips, cold potentially uncooked sausage. Tea with the bag and milk left in at the same time. Toast under the hard fried egg. Nothing to commend it.

Much different since last in there (before covid). Different owner, different staff, different feel about the place, different decor. Don't like change. However if I had never experienced the old Shepherdess I would have have been tempted to give 4 and a halfStars because I enjoyed the meal, so in all fairness I have to give it 4.5

This is a really nice place to go for something to eat if you're in the area, it's clean, the staff are really nice and the food is top notch and very reasonably priced. I've been here a few times over the past few weeks and it's a real shame that I won't be visiting the area for the foreseeable future.

Not busy but milkshake and two slices of warm break took over 30 minutes? But for the same table two sets of eggs bernadette, two orange juices and two flat whites were not an issue... when asked multiple times no one cared. Then at the end when plates cleared we voiced our disappointment which was ignored

Amazing food .. even more amazing hospitality and kind hearted people. I unfortunately was locked out of fob-secured flat for 2 hours waiting for a lock smith (who told me they’d be there in 25 minutes) whilst in 4% battery so was too panicked to leave the building. no car keys..nothing. Made my way here where the KINDEST member of staff got me a hot drink, I was LITERALLY shivering so he sat me by the heating and charged my phone so I could make some calls. Checking in with me and put his coat around me to warm me up! The purest act of human kindness for which I am so thankful. I can’t say you’ll be wrapped up in a jacket like me but definitely give them a go 💛💛

Never again. Terrible experience. We came in at the end of the day -- wanted lamb moussaka, which was done for the day. Fair enough. Ordered veggie moussaka. What came out was a warm dish of aubergine stew. No béchamel, no mixed veg, just aubergine in tomato. So asked the waitress for a menu to check my expectations, It said mixed veg and béchamel. A guy came out aggressively saying 'I'm not the chef but this is how we serve it!' and he just wouldn't let it go. Awful experience. I'm giving two stars because at least they took it back.

Nice food and friendly staff would have got 5 stars but egg was over done

Nice breakfast. Was told they had no vegan food but they clearly do, just don't realise it.

This place was so close to being 5 stars for me, good prices, big portions, the mixed veg omelette and fries was really delicious, the beef and onion pie was so so. Mocha was big and delicious too. A really nice casual old fashioned diner at a street junction. Took one star off because the waitress somehow couldn't really understand us, and also couldn't understand the kitchen because she told us they ran out of pie and then we cancelled it, but then they just serve it to us even though we already decided not to have it. One of the item we ordered never arrived too.

This is exactly the kind of cafe that I envision for nice weekend breakfasts. It’s absolutely perfect. The staff is so warm and friendly! The atmosphere is very homey. I don’t understand how the prices are more than fair. Surprisingly so even given that the food was so good. We ordered an omelette and the vegetarian breakfast and both were large portions, too. Even the coffee is on point. I have found my new favourite breakfast place.
