Had okra & chickpea stew plus saksuka. My favourite aubergine stew was finished as it was almost midnight but as always the food & service couldn't be faulted. I asked for extra bread with my leftovers, offered to pay, they refused.

Best lamb soup in London…honestly it’s the nuts!

I had soup here It was delicious. however, when I went to pay, I could not have the same satisfaction because the person at the cashier rudely stated to me that he could not take card payments under 10 pounds. I almost felt guilty for not having cash with me. It is one of the businesses with weak tradesmanship in London. First you have to learn how to talk to people.

An excellent meal...good quality meats ,breads and salads..plus they have a good vegan menu as well.. They always seem to be full with locals which is a good sign. Not too expensive either. They do sell beers and other alcohols. Worth the effort

The staff are accommodating and friendly. The food is very good, they offer good takeaway, food never takes too long. The lamb ribs are scrumptious. It’s placed in the heart of dalston. gets busy when it’s late. Reasonably priced too. Your not rushed out. Great people watching settings. Recommended.

Clean and tidy place. Some of their male staff have no customer service skills whatsoever.

Simple but hearty Turkish stews served with salad, pickles, bread and rice. A fixture of Kingsland road for a long time. Comforting food, good portions, quick service, no nonsense lokanta (Turkish worker's lunch spot) style.Nice big windows on a street corner if you want to people-watch or just sit there on a rainy day and get cheered up with some nourishing hot foodI remember it used to be crazy cheap around the mid-noughties (£4 for the whole meal IIRC!). More like a £10 or £12 these days, which is not so bad considering, although you can get fancier versions of these stews in other nearby restaurants for a similar price, there's still a nostalgia that brings me back sometimes.

Somine is the most authentic, real, flavoured, value for money turkish spot there is in London. They are there from morning to early morning. To serve you what your hearts content. Soups, stews, kebabs, salads you name it they have it all thanks to the chefs. The men in the back cooking up the meat and the Turkish women in the back cooking up a blessing just how your mum makes at home.I used to go 3/4 x a week for years. If you haven’t already been and you’re from the area just try it. Try the stew options. The lamb/ meat stew was my favourite. Sides, pickles, bread and stew all come together.
