Standard Tandoori in Hackney

Have tried the food here more than 4 times. It never ever dissapoints!! Its very tasty and the portions are really good as well! Very reasonably priced! What else are you looking for?

Easily one of the nicest Indians I've had 👌 Taste on point. Correct lager to match spice. Prices, might as well be in India. Staff, good craic with a bit of a nudge. Will be back!

Really great, Traditional Indian fare. Ordered a veg Korma, veg Madras, breads (parathra, really flaky and crispy, not heavy and oily), Dahl. The Korma was very good and the Madras was rich and spicy, Tandoori chicken was also a real treat

The décor is so old it's retro now. Every time we have been there, the staff have greeted half the tables by name so there tends be alot of regulars there. You won't get better value for your money. At £30 for two people we were completely stuffed. It's an old fashioned curry house, one of the last around. Hand written receipt with a mint and hot hand towels at the end.

Ordered a takeaway and was back the following week for more. This will definitely become my local. The food is so delicious, wide range and amazing value. Super friendly service tooThe Sag Paneer side dish (veggie) is super tasty

Traditional and friendly. I have been coming here for years. It is still a good price, cheap compared to all the other overpriced restaurants in this area. The food is always good, cooked and presented to usual standard and you never wait long. Staff are always polite and happy to assist with any request.

I have never been disappointed at The Standard. The hot curries may not be the hottest you've ever had, but the breadth and subtlety of the spicing will deliver a most flavoursome meal. Add to this the friendliness of the staff and the relatively inexpensive menu, and what could possibly go wrong?Give it a try, or call for a delivery.

My father Ordered 2 whole chicken. Usually he gets charged about £20 which includes a drink. Today they didn’t give any drink- when I called them about the drink. They came back and said drink was £2 and charged more money stating they charge less previously and charged him about £30. Will make sure my father never orders from there again.

I thought that my order came with a free beer based on an offer printed in their brochure. I asked about it when I ordered delivery and thought I was told that was fine. When the driver came, no beer. I mentioned it and was told that the price wasn't high enough after all. I didn't fuss; simply asked where the drink was calmly and shrugged when I didn't get it, no big deal. I call back two months later to order and the employee taking the order tells me (after I give my address) that I must be the guy making problems with his driver. I said I don't think so and he says if I talk to the driver again about a discount, he'll never deliver to me again. Perhaps the driver exaggerated our interaction? Either way, terrible customer treatment here.

Great Indian restaurant in the village just outside Victoria Park! Really good menu and great prices for the area...the staff are very friendly too!! 😁😁
