Great value for money roasts, gorgeous pub with a huge garden and you can even order extra roasties. Cheap drinks too!

Terrible, terrible service. We went for lunch after climbing , expecting the full menu but they only do Sunday roast (not made clear on their site). Made to feel unwelcome on arrival and when they gave us a table, only 1 paper menu. It took us a little while to work out that they only take orders via QR code, which could have been easily mentioned when we were sat down. The time between ordering and drink/ food delivery was quick but our bills had 10% service automatically added, which we couldn’t amend. No one came to check how our food was(Yorkshires were cold, potatoes dry and tough on the outside, lamb was over cooked, and the gravy was bitter), and the only time one of the servers spoke to us was to ask if they could take our plates.Very disappointed.

Great atmosphere, cosy and clean and friendly young staff. Sunday roast was brilliant, great Yorkshires!

The food is quite good, and fresh. Decent beer selection. The fireplace upstairs is the best in winter time

Amazing Pub and Guesthouse. We had an amazing room (room 2 with rolltop bath) for two nights and the staff (especially Ella) were the most helpful I have ever had in a hotel. I can't fault anything at all, maybe the only recommendation would be to have a mini fridge in the room to store you're own drinks such as extra milk or cans of pop. Other than that cleanliness was on point. We had amazing food from downstairs. The garden was lovely. Drinks were lovely. Breakfast was beautiful. Ten minutes walk to the nearest tube station and like I say staff were super accomodating! Really happy with our stay and service and would definitely stop there again in the future or recommend to others. Thankyou so much for our experience with you!

I had the ribeye roast. The roast doesn’t have a lot of veggies on the plate but maybe that’s just how they do it normally. My issue was that I couldn’t even finish because it started making me feel ill and not even an hour later I started vomiting. Just horrible! I’ve been to the Brownswood for drinks before (I live right next door) and it was great but every single time the food disappoints but this time was the worst experience in any pub I’ve ever had.

We held our civil partnership evening celebration in the upstairs room at the pub, and could not have been happier. It's a lovely space, and Mike and the team went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure our evening was special. The food was great and there was plenty of it! Would definitely recommend.

This pub never fails to impress me. Rapid and good quality food. Fantastic beer garden and upstairs area. Polite and friendly staff. I am full of nothing but praise!

Was a little while ago when I’ve visited but their food and drinks selection was quite good. I remember that I really enjoyed the falafel wrap and roast lamb. They’ve got good indoor and outdoor area.Staff have been pleasant. Will update again when I next visit.

Beer garden is great, staff are so nice, the food was awful. The buffalo wings were rubbery and covered in a sauce that didn't even closely resemble buffalo sauce. The blue cheese dip was more like mayo with bits of stilton. My friends burger bun was burnt black. I would have sent it all back if we weren't so hungry, the food took a long time but that was no surprise as it was busy. A great place to drink but do not eat here.
