Tasty fish options. Accommodating with my shellfish allergy. Great service. I enjoyed the ambiance, good music and being able to see the kitchen. I enjoyed the food, but it was expensive and the whole experience not very memorable. I am happy I went, enjoyed it, but wouldn’t go back. I wouldn’t recommend for a ‘special’ eveningX

Wow - cornerstone exceeded all our expectations! Sophisticated menu, relaxing atmosphere & fantastic service. Highly recommend the chefs tasting menu at an affordable £65pp - the pickled oysters, hake Kiev and ice cream sandwich were out favourites. One for the best fish restaurants in London!

What a feast! The sharing menu is really well priced (£65 per person) and gives a great representation of the culinary artistry of the chefs and the open kitchen lets you watch them at work too!The highlights for me were the trout pastrami and the wild black bream tartar which comes with a raw egg yolk (as a true tartar should!) but all the dishes are so well balanced and so complementary the whole meal flows beautifully (and you get two desserts! Absolute treat)Restaurant itself is simple and has a laid back cool vibe about it without a pretentious tone one could expect from an East 'hipster' London location with the coveted star. Thanks to the neutral feels it's just as good for a romantic dinner date as it is for a foodie bunch of friends catch up over wine. Will definitely be back for more :)

My wife and I chanced upon this restaurant through an FT article and so glad that we stopped by. Cornerstone is one of the best restaurants in London we tried recently. Every dish served was delightful, exhibiting both creativity and wonderfully balanced flavours. Regrettably we didn’t take a picture of our favourite dish of the night - Black Bream Tartare with Yolk. We polished the plate in an instant. Service was excellent as well. Cornerstone is a must try for foodies!

Had an amazing time for my partner’s birthday, we went there for lunch, lovely staff and the chef selection is worth every penny.

I'm not sure that I expected the venue to be in this corner of Hackey, but I was very pleasantly surprised. When the curtains opened, the interior was light, fresh and welcoming. The open kitchen was spotless, and it was great to see and hear the chefs doing an excellent service. The food was not just picture perfect, but tasty and memorable.I would heartily recommend going for the chefs choice menu at £65.Wine pairing was also on offer. The staff were very efficient and friendly, I will happily go again.

Honestly not sure how to review.Service and staff superb. The food itself was delicious, impeccably presented and very inventive. Personally I just wonder if some dishes are too complicated for their own good.Definitely worth a visit and forming your own view!

Amazing meal with some real taste explosions, for me.the pickled oysters where standout , my wife who professes not to like oysters loved them but preferred the Sea Bream tartar to anything else we had today. Really relaxed atmosphere, if any fault the waitresses seemed.to lack any real passion for the food all very pleasant but service just lacking that little something, although the sommelier was great.

Great tasting menu in a cozy corner of Hackney Wick. I’m normally not the biggest fan of seafood but everything was on point - the seafood crumpet and the hake kiev with lemon dill butter were my two favourites! I was particularly impressed with their online customer service. I had a question about their gift voucher, and Francesca dealt with it with great professionalism. Thanks for the great experience.

It’s been on the radar for a while now and it was well worth the wait 👌🏻 very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. We had the tasting menu, chef recommendations. The food was simply stunning from start to finish. The flavours were well thought out and I couldn’t fault a single dish. Complex but not over-engineered, and would suit all pallets. I would definitely recommend the wine pairings! The sommelier was particularly helpful with details, and also with information about sourcing favoured wines. We felt well looked after and would like to thank all members of the team for our very enjoyable experience. Highly recommend 🙌🏻
