On entering the pub, you’ll probably think that this is quite a big place. Wait until you go out back to the garden though! They must’ve bought a garden centre next door or something, or, at the very least, a vacant plot. The pub’s garden is quite simply, massive! I went there just after noon on a Saturday and a number of the tables outside had already been reserved. Nonetheless, there was plenty of space available.Inside, the bar is an island in the centre. For real ale, go round to the garden side for the pumps. The beer I bought was in good condition. Sorry, I can’t remember what it was called. Nor can I remember the cost, as they refused to take cash, and for that matter, didn’t offer me a receipt. The toilets are, if you’re coming in from the garden, are on the right for gents, and on the left for ladies. Fortunately the toilets seem to be larger than the usual in some pubs. There seems to me to be too much furniture inside. What I mean by this is, the chairs and tables seem to be too close together. I would imagine it will be quite uncomfortable getting to and from the toilets if the place is very crowded. For this reason, and their insistence on not accepting cash, I can’t give it the full five stars.

Nice interior. Nice seating. Has an outside area. £4.90 for a pint of lager. Will never return due to the fact that they have embraced a cashless system. Cards only.

The Crooked Billet has been my local for years but the food has never been as good as it is now. Yesterday we had the fish&chips, the vegetarian lasagna (which came with a massive piece of tasty garlic bread), and the chicken/chorizo/potatoes, they were all absolutely delicious. I tried the pizzas last week and they were better than the ones you'd get at the local pizza places. Well done guys!

I had beef stew dish. Wonderful tasty comfort food while watching Spurs live . Heavenly except for the score. This pub has character enhanced by cozy fireplace.

Visited on Sunday and was recommended the fish pie, it was excellent. My friend had the beef roast and was equally impressed. I highly recommend

Sandra and the staff at the crooked billet went above and beyond to host my 30th drinks. This pub is a lovely little gem with delicious food and a brilliant atmosphere

Lovely beer garden! They have a big but well organised space outside for many people and it all run smoothly. You won’t be waiting long for your order. Great and very professional staff. The food is delicious ! Chips and padron peppers came in huge portions which was unexpected but welcomed :) They have TVs across the whole space. So if you are a football fan that is a great place to be! And don’t miss out on Pub quizzes every Monday😊

Everything from the staff to the music and ambience about this place is just excellent. One of the best veggie roasts I've ever had, great service, even offer more gravy before it is requested.Dog & child friendly too

Looks good in a photograph but tasteless and the gravy was like water, disappointed. We had the beef and vegetable wellington. The staff are fantastic and the pub has a great atmosphere.

Great selection of beers, ciders ect, staff are helpful and knowlegable about their stock. Food was better than expected. Great decor and plenty of room and comfy. Beer garden is heated and large, split up to add an outside ambiance. They cater for adults and young families, nice pub with food. I hope to rekindle another great local.
