A great little café, hidden at the back of a flower shop! Everything is delicious, the staff are helpful and friendly and the garden area is huge and a very pleasant space to while away an hour or two with a glass of chilled wine in the summer.

I think this has become my favourite lunch place! The portions are massive and the taste of the food is amazing! the vibes in the cafe are so warm and friendly and I can't recommend the fish burger enough!

The loose leaf tea is given with disgusting plastic strainers and the tea pots become clogged and tea spills everywhere, really poor and for the cost you get little out of it.Food is basic, it tastes nice for a greasy spoon but not a place charging almost £12 a plate.Outside area is lovey in the sun and the staff seemed to make an effort. All in all I don’t think I’ll be back as there are far better quality places in east London and the cost is just too high.

It is a nice place but the coffee and the food was really awful. I couldn’t drink my flat white and I left most of my pancakes because the strawberries tasted like they have being left in the fridge with other food for days and they were off. Staff didn’t even bother when our plates were with most of the food when we asked for the bill. There are many other better places in Church Street.

Brunch in the early morning sun in their garden is amazing. Service is always with a smile, super quick and great with kids. Occasionally buy a plant or flowers on the way out.

Both restaurant and flower shop have gone massively downhill in recent years, and weren't amazing to begin with. Went to get my mum some flowers from the expensive flower shop there - I was ignored by the bizarrely supercilious man behind the till, even when I asked about the price per stem of one of their flowers, until eventually I asked again and he reluctantly came over to where I was (huffing and puffing) and made a half-hearted effort to check the price. Midway through, a male customer walked through the door and he literally dropped everything, sprang to attention and went to ask if he could help him with anything. I would've spent a considerable amount of money in there but having stood in the corner like chopped liver for 5 minutes after that I just walked out of the door. Weirdly, I recounted this experience to my friend who also lives in the area, and she told me she had had the exact same experience with him and also walked out after he dropped her request to go and speak to a male customer. I won't be giving them my money again sadly, having shopped there for many years. In terms of the restaurant, the last time I ate there (around a year and a half ago), there were two hairs in my food and the dish was bland, uninteresting and overpriced. As others have noted, the food arrives cold and takes about an hour to get to the table, and a lot of the cutlery and crockery is dirty. The wait staff, while generally much nicer than the egregious person in the flower shop, seem to be more interested in chatting to each other and staring out of the window than checking on your order. Great alternatives within a 5 minute walk: The Good Egg, Esters and 215 Hackney. You might have to queue for a bit, but for good reason- they serve delicious food and have a high quality of customer service

This place has always been a bit of a mix of great and not so great. The location is amazing, and the food also used to be good until a couple of years ago. Now the menu is so boring and unappealing. They serve the average stuff you find anywhere for a much higher price. Portions have shrinked a lot too. Service used to be absolutely appalling and it has improved a little, but staff still seems so stressed and unhappy and standard is still quite low compared to other places. It seems pretty clear there are ongoing management problems. A shame, as it could be such a great 5 star spot.

Lovely selection of flowers, and really friendly staff. Spanish guy, I think, was working there (I don't think anymore) and he was SO nice, and so friendly. Flowers a tiny bit pricey compared to nearby shops, but just a bit. There's something 'missing' about the cafe/restaurant set up that I can't quite put my finger on. Has the air of being very unintentionally a cafe - like it is first and foremost a flower shop, with a cafe just attached for the sake of extra cashflow. Or even the other way around. My unsolicited suggestion would be to integrate the flower shop part and the cafe part better, so it doesn't feel like two separate businesses renting one shared space. Fresh flowers on the tables, more plants in the eating area. More floral/plant themed menu design. At the moment, you walk through the plant shop and the second you meet the bar to the left, it's like a totally different place, in a sort of jarring way. This won't stop me from visiting the flower shop though :-)

Beautiful garden at the back of the flower shop, breakfast and lunch menu, delicious food, cannot believe this place isn’t open for dinner

Really good setting for a bit of lunch. Love the combination of the garden shop/theme with the cafe. Coffee was okay and the food was very good. They have good vegetarian/vegan options.Have seen a lot of reviews mentioning the no laptops rule, but someone was in there using a laptop and it wasn’t a problem! If people can work quietly and considerately then this could be a good way of keeping the place busy throughout the afternoon!
