The Londesborough in Hackney

One of the best Sunday roasts in London! Great food, well presented, generous portions. Great atmosphere. Staff really friendly and accommodating!

Excellent Sunday Roast. Busy and lively pub. Great atmosphere.

On Sundays, this place does one of the best roast dinners I've had in a restaurant. It's an absolute table-creaker and very well cooked. They do a massive three-meat roast that is listed as serving two, but was so huge that it would probably serve several more. The slow-roast pork belly was especially good. The staff were friendly and it was all just a wonderful dinner. I have not yet tried the week-day menu but if it's anything like their roasts then I am looking forward to that!

DO NOT CELEBRATE AT THIS PUB! We booked our daughter’s bday party there and pretty much all the guests were mistreated by the rude staff and owner. The party was exactly the size we booked for. When we got there, we had half of the seating needed and we were asking for more tables so guests could eat. But guests were told they could not seat elsewhere. One of my guests (a family of 6) were having food and were told by the owner, who was very rude, that they could not seat where they were seated! THEY WERE EATING AND DRINKING. This was unacceptable! The pub wasn’t even that busy. On top of everything, the food was awful! Dry and tasteless duck meat. Overcooked steak and soggy fries. Bartender was rude calling the party a “hell”. It wouldn't be hell if they had reserved the right number of seats!!! Honestly, don’t bother going there. I wish I had taken pictures of the horrible food we were served. Don't waste your time going there. Not worth it. When I spoke to the owner, he basically put the blame back at us for being too many. That's an example of their excellent customer service! No apologies whatsoever.

The food (and cocktails) at the Londesborough is always very good, but today the Sticky Toffee pudding was really outstanding. Thanks to you all, especially the chef, for a wonderful meal.

Somehow forgot the Londesborough is one of my locals and it has a cosy garden. The guy who took my reservation on the phone was very friendly as were the staff on the day we had Sunday lunch. Fantastic pork belly was tender with perfect crackling. Slow roast lamb shoulder with apricot and carrot stuffing was excellent. I'd recommended the Harvey's bitter from Lewes. Spacious and airy pub with great hospitality and a solid, good quality roast. Dog friendly and great wine selection.

An enjoyable pub that has a fantastic outdoor section. Came here after a football match and was impressed by the selection of drinks - we didn’t order food so can’t comment on that. Staff were friendly and attentive. Glorious on a sunny day out the back and also on the front tables. Leffe on tap - what a treat. Was strangely empty from 1pm-2pm but then people started coming in.
