My favourite pub and probably the best roast in London. You even get your own gravy boat. Great wine list, cocktails and vibe. Matt the manager is a dreamboat mega babe. Such friendly staff. THE BEST LOCAL

Excellent Sunday roast, as usual, but what makes this pub special is the staff. Always made to feel welcome, this is a fantastic local pub which is great for a pint. I’ve been coming for years and will continue to do so.

I hope this is useful both to patrons and the pub’s management. The food can do with several improvements, considering that mains range from £15 from vegetarian options to £25 for a steak. The quality is mediocre (bland, overcooked and rather meagre). Drinks are average with big brand beers (at £6 a pint on average) and a list of ordinary wines that you could get for under a tener online, but for which they charge three times the price. The service, on the other hand, is extremely poor: staff are flippant, clumsy and rushed. They could do with some training and take their jobs seriously. So, if you plan to visit, I would think twice about it.UPDATE -- Please read the response from a member of staff below. As a customer, giving feedback takes time. So, if I owned a pub and got a review like mine, I would be thinking carefully about what went wrong. The response below strikes me as defensive and is very telling of the sort of attitude you will receive if you visit this place. And no, I do not get any gratification for writing a negative review: we live in a free market economy, so, if you want to make money out of people by selling them overcooked steak and charging them the moon for amateurish service, then be prepared to read those hard truths on here.

Absolute gem of a place with the most amazing, friendly staff. Manager made us feel so welcome and looked after and it’s the best local place for a roast

I used to go often to this pub as it is one of my locals. Not sure what happened but lately the manager (bold guy there) become impolite and even passive aggressive at times for no good reason. I would suggest the management/owners to consider this , as I am not the only local customers who noticed .

Pretty pub with kind and helpful staff. The Sunday roast is delicious and comes in generous portions. The service is quite quick even when busy. I would recommend it!

Good ambiance, good cocktails, great tagliatelle and croquettes. Bar service a little understaffed but understandable at these times. Came here for a Negroni, stayed for that and a "Mad about yuzu!" - delicious.

Amazing place! Loved the staff, the vibes and the roast. Great beer choices. I’ll be on the gins next time. Can’t wait to come back and sit on the terrace.

Amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. Sat outside in the sun, ordered small plates: potato cakes, spiced veg, Reuben bagel, and flatbread with garlic. All four dishes were so enjoyable. We had really really nice service throughout lunch. I gotta say this place was fantastic, will return ASAP!!!
