Urbanest Hoxton Cafe in Hackney

One of the best student accommodation in central London. Friendly and approachable receptionists like Damir make you feel like you are at home.

I am staying here for a year. The location is great, centrally located and very close to the nice neighbourhood of Shoreditch. The facilities are kept very clean and the common rooms are nice. The room was generally in a good condition when I arrived, but very hot during the summer months, an issue that needs to be resolved.Maintenance is always there when needed, highly efficient, thanks to the also very polite, Rodrigo.Finally, the reception staff is always there to answer to every question you may have. Special thanks to Jason who, not only has helped me with any problem I may have, but also made me feel very much like home!

Great accommodation, it has a good location with a bus stop just in front, as well as a Tesco right next to it, rooms are modern and spacious, and staff are super helpful and friendly! - Jason especially, as he always brings good energy to the building and is always striving to solve your problems in any way he can, he's the best. I would certainly live here again.

Urbanest Hoxton is a great choice, walking distance to City Uni and Cass and many others.The staff is very helpful and friendly, especially Jason!The rooms are well equiped, the common spaces are always clean. The gym is a great feature as well as the laundry room.They even provided bycicles for hire during the lockdown which made it much more bearable, and the upstairs deck is a nice place to take a breath and get a view of the City skyline.

I had a chance to stay at the Urbanest Hoxton for two years and my overall experience couldn’t be better. The place was well maintained and it has a great location with a bus stop and Tesco express just under the building. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Jason and Sunny at the reception. I’ve met so many staffs in the building throughout my times there and they were simply the best.

The staff and facilities are great. However, management sympathy with students during the pandemic has been disappointing. They refuse to put students’ welfare first by not allowing them to end contracts because of the exceptional circumstances and government restrictions. A petition will be delivered to the management to encourage them to align to the Universities Halls’ (LSE, KCL, UCL and University of London) policies.

Do not book this place! This private student accommodation just wants to make money and let the students bear the financial burden of this pandemic. Not flexible or accommodating at all, even after official instructions from government and universities not to come back to London. While university accommodation offers flexible termination of contracts, we are all stuck in Urbanest paying over 1000 pounds a month for not being there.

1 year update on the student accommodation Urbanest Hoxton.After the change in management I must say the place has only gotten better. I loved the location, the facilities and the tube/bus lines in the area from the get go however, now Urbanest itself seems so much more organised, a lot more professional (replying to emails and requests a lot faster than previously) and just overall able to create a great ambient for any student’s needs. The facilities (gym, common room, study rooms etc...) are always kept clean and ready to use.Julia in particular, having been here from the beginning of the year has always been helpful and a true godsend with whatever issues I encountered throughout my first year of living in London. She actively tries her best even in situations that are new to her and is always in a great mood. She makes Urbanest feel like home.The rest of the staff is of course also amazing with some new comers getting used to their positions. The new manager is also great as she tackles each request and faces any problem a student might encounter in their stay at urbanest. She takes her work very seriously and is admired for it by all in the building.I enjoyed my stay so much this year, especially after the management change, that I will be living here again next year.

Excellent accommodation, at a great location, friendly staff and super rooms! Bus stop is right outside, and tube station is less than 5 minutes walk. Grocery store is in the building as well as a nice cafe. Rooms are modern and cosy yet still spacious. Everything you need included in the rooms and the on-site facilities are a valuable asset to the accommodation.Staff are extremely friendly, especially Julia, as she assisted me in moving back to Urbanest halfway through this year. She was always did her best to resolve any issues as fast as possible, greeted you every morning, and really made living at Urbanest feel like home.I lived a full year at urbanest last year, was unfortunately too late to rebook, but was lucky enough to be able to move back halfway through this year.

This is a real find - brilliant coffee, good value home-cooked food and the owners are very friendly. Excellent for a lunchtime bite or a slow breakfast.
