Fabulous dark arts coffee, a warm welcome, chill vibe, what's not to love?

Very nice coffee, creamy and delicious. I wish there were less vegan pastries but still best coffee in n16

Very tasty V60 coffee! It's a fiver, but it serves two people, so you get decent value. Staff friendly, too

One of the best coffee shops in Stoke Newington for sure, they use Dark Arts coffee and its consistently made really well, good coffee options and the pastries and sandwiches are really nice too.The staff are always super friendly, and the inside of the cafe is cute and has a nice atmosphere. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

I've been going there for years but was recently made to feel really unwelcome. First, there was the 'looking at each other' and giggling from the 2 baristas when I walked in. This happened several times. Or, lucky me, the rolling of eyes when she was on her own, rude tone of voice included.I've also had the joy of witnessing her bad-mouthing a customer she didn't like (for whatever reason, that customer was lovely...oh wait, because she found her annoying) to another customer, only to find out through another regular, that she was doing the same to me.She was also rude to my friend who just wanted to pay the bill. Perhaps Miss Eye-liner should be reminded that it's the customers' money that goes towards her pay cheque.

Only ordered Cortado, was told that it was two shots - found the blend quite weak for my liking, but will ask for less milk next time. Coffee was made well by the barista. Small place, hard to find somewhere to sit when busy as there's only a few tables, nice friendly staff.... would definitely make a second visit and maybe try out their food next time.

Brilliant coffee. They use Dark Arts coffee beans which are one of the best coffee roasters in Hackney in my opinion. The baristas are also lovely and make you feel welcome. Overall great experience!

Friendly local cafe, near Stoke Newington high Street. Good snack food and coffee, floor upstair and downstairs, nice atmosphere. I like it :)

Very friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The coffee was delicious, and they do takeaway too. When I requested a larger cup for my latte, they were super accommodating. The food was beautifully presented and of good quality, although if you're a real foodie, you might find that it will not give you that fantastic surprise of unexpected flavours and leave you maybe slightly wanting more. But, overall very nice and honest food, we most enjoyed the French Toast and the Sweetcorn Fritters. Nice place to hang out for a weekend brunch!

I really wish I could rate this place higher. Unfortunately the whole experience was disappointing. We weren’t acknowledged when we arrived, even when we said hello we neither staff member (who weren’t busy) didn’t respond. We seated ourselves and after waiting 5mins went to find menus. After ordering the chef came and told us 2 of our choices weren’t available. What did arrive was good. The coffee was nice. The interior is cosy but I can imagine it gets crowded at busy times.Wish it had been a better experience. Will be back to see if it was a one off.
