Lily Tandoori in Hammersmith and Fulham

I came here with a friend during a layover to Greece. We were visiting from the United States and heard this restaurant was very popular. While in the Brompton area we came across two young men who offered to buy us a drink. Over the course of the next two hours they became increasingly more intoxicated but insisted on going to this establishment. The owner himself greeted us at the door and gave us a table. My girl friend and I went to the restroom for a total of 4 minutes, leaving the gentlemen at the table. Once we ascended the staircase the owner let us know that he canceled the order and that we needed to leave immediately. We were so confused since we literally ordered food then went to wash our hands. Clearly whatever the men did in our absence we were being punished for, even though the owner allowed them entry. If there was a problem he could have let us know that AT THE DOOR. My girl friend and I approached the owner to tell him that the men could leave and we could eat by ourselves, that we had just met them that day and that her and I WEREN'T even intoxicated !! He REFUSED to listen to us or let us stay, aggressively asking us to get out and refusing our business or explanations. This definitely could have been handled differently on his behalf. He was very rude and disrespectful so ultimately my friend and I missed out on the experience. I would say maybe next time but we absolutely won't be going back when we're in London again.

Just not the same calibre as Scottish Indian restaurants. Food was good though. Staff very friendly

Lovely Indian restaurant on Lilly Road, not far from West Brompton tube. Food and service is excellent and one of the best Shami Kebabs I have had in a long time. You do need to bring your own alcohol, but the do not charge corkage. See you soon when I am next in London!

Great food! the food was one the best Indian that I had in my whole life. The waiter was ok, but the owner was really helpful and very happy to serve us! 5 stars for the food and the owner!

Very good and also cheap. 3 starters, 3 mains, icecream, coke and one bottle of French housewine 79£. Nice and helpfull waiters. Busy after 19.30 hr.

I got the vegan dish, tasted really good, not spicy. Chef was amazing. Food was perfectly sized. Friendly staff, good service, nice atmosphere and cozy. I recommend this place!

I went there when i was on my vaccation and I absolutly loved. The food is awsome and plenty. The staff is very always ready to help and welcoming. Especially the owner helps you with the menu when you don't know indian food that good. And it's very well priced. I went there 2 times so definitely a recommendation from me

Came to this restaurant for dinner one night unplanned because our usual restaurant nearby was closed. I picked here following the good Google reviews. It turned out to be a really good surprise. Great service, great recommendations and great food. Totally enjoyed the meal and will come back again.
