"Thai Rice was founded in 2002 on Portobello Road. Using traditional family recipes and fresh ingredients to produce authentic Thai cuisine, the restaurant has enjoyed a great deal of success and led to the owners opening more restaurants in London City. Currently, we have 4 branches which are Thai Rice Maida Vale, Thai Rice Portabello Road, Thai Rice Harrow Road, and Thai Rice Shepherd’s Bush. Moreover, we have 2 pubs outside London which are The Queens Head Newark and The City Arms Inn Pub"

I have come here with my family quite a few times and unfortunately had a bad accident with my son where he fell and hit his head on the table. The restaurant has no baby chairs so not fit for babies. We had to rush my son to the hospital so unfortunately weren't able to have our food but we're told we can take away in 3 little tubs. I paid to eat in which is obviously more money. We had my son stitched up and thought we'd return as we had already paid for sit in. We thought we'd be let in to continue our buffet. Unfortunately this horrible rude little woman who's the manager told me that we'd already taken food out and demanded I pay again. I didn't want to argue so just left but just wanted to put this on here to bring awareness to the mindset of this place. Extremely rude manager with no customer service skills. Someone like this should be at the back and not customer facing as this really brings down the restaurant. It's a Shame as the food is very nice.

Thai all you can eat style café. Food reasonable especially for the price in London. Seems fresh and I particularly liked the mussel soup. Quite a lot of choice they kept and eye on food so it is refreshed. Limited drinks but ok for a cafe. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Excellent value for value. Lovely selection of food. One of best buffets in town. Perfect place to stop by for a quick meal after a day out shopping etc...

I go here regularly. The buffet is extensive with a variety of meat and vegetable options to choose from. There are also side options such as chips and spring rolls which are included in the set price. The buffet only costs around 9 pounds, with a takeaway box option available. It is value for money given the King St location. To get a five star rating there would need to be some special dishes with the occasional rotation. Some of the side options can sometimes taste a touch dry, but the main dishes such as the Thai Green Curry and Spicy Beef are always of a good quality.Worth a visit for a casual outing or a cheaper group lunch. It would make for a good team work lunch or a quick stop off before a visit to The Lyric or the Hammersmith Apollo.

Acceptable. Mixed Chinese and Thai, I would say western oriental. Food is ok nothing to dream about but it was tasty and satisfactory. One gentleman entered the restaurant with no mask and helped himself with the buffet : not great, he wasn’t even challenged by the owner (he was standing in front of her)I noticed that tables were not cleaned after customers - no dessertsToilet cleanliness is averageOnly one brave staff member who looks overwhelmed, he runs from the lounge to the kitchen and seems to be upset…To be honest, I am not certain I would want to come back,
