Sagar Vegetarian Hammersmith Restaurant in Hammersmith and Fulham

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the sambar which was out of the world! The interiors are aesthetic and the service impeccable. Overall an excellent restaurant, will surely return again.

100% eating here again. Never eaten so much in my life and I could've kept going. Aloo Gobhi is beautiful!

Authentic dishes from South India which was perfect from both a vegetarian and non-vegetarian viewpoint. Friendly staff, competitively priced and nice ambience. Lots of great restaurants in the area but this is definitely one of the best.

18 years this restaurant has been in Hammersmith and it's as good now as it has always been, delicious vegetarian south Indian food and very reasonably priced. Masala Dosa and Thali for the win!

2 stars only because if you're an Indian you're generally expecting real spicy tinge to the cuisine upon demand. While the ambiance is nice and hygiene is maintained, the mild sweet taste (in almost every dish) suits English palate more. Can't blame the owners since the restaurant is located at the Heart of Hammersmith High Street.

Fantastic eatery with plenty of selection (both South and North Indian), bursting full of flavour. They are also accommodating for allergy requirements which we were really grateful for! Will continue returning here :)

Terrific! Went with a friend and we could not be more pleased at the service, quantity and taste! Sagar is a great restaurant to introduce foreigners to Indian cuisine and also relieve homesickness of Indians :) The waiter Shamid and the manager were polite, chatty and very professional. Great pricing for a number of dishes and perfectly replicated South Indian cuisine. 11/10 !!

I’ve been visiting Sagar for years and always enjoy it. Tasty dishes not found in your average Indian restaurant (it’s heaven for vegetarians and vegans), good value and attentive service. Recommend any of the dosas. Pleased to see it’s still going strong after Covid lockdowns.

Extensive ‘Udipi’ South Indian menu, though somewhat lacking in important ways. The rava dosa was oily and served lukewarm, though an acceptable value at under £8.00; the udipi thali (platter) was way overpriced at £16.00 and the portions of veg were mean, also served lukewarm. The manager is a nice guy, a constant presence at the restaurant. They just need to up their game a bit more.
